Morning has come to Ukraine, and many Ukrainians, especially in Kyiv, spent another night sleeping underground.

This is my hometown in the video, and today it suffered too. This is Kremenchuk - a city in Ukraine whose name doesn't pop up in news feeds very often, but tonight it got hit as well.

These are footage from today, or rather-this morning! russia is killing my country, my people are dying at the hands of russians. At 00:17, there is a rescuer, and in his arms is a child They are trying to save them, trying to find them while they are still breathing.

So apparently Trump is blaming the high and rapidly rising price of diesel fuel on Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries. Against all available facts and analysis that show it's very highly tied to the situation in the Middle East. Your bias towards Putin is showing again.

Atlantic 'cold blob' is caused by ocean heat transport change, not surface fluxes | ESS Open Archive
The northern Atlantic south of Greenland and Iceland is the only part of the world which has cooled significantly since the 19th Century both in the atmosphere and ocean. The oceanic cooling is widely assumed to be a result of reduced ocean heat ...

Estimates show AMOC has already weakened by about 15% since the 1950s. While geoengineering ideas exist, they are signs of desperation. The only real solution to prevent this irreversible tipping point is drastically cutting fossil fuel emissions before it's too late

If the AMOC reaches a tipping point and collapses, the consequences would be catastrophic. Europe could plunge into an ice-age-like deep freeze with extreme winters, sea levels would surge on the US East Coast, and global monsoon patterns would be severely disrupted.

So, why the cold blob? Climate change is melting Greenland's glaciers. This massive influx of freshwater makes the North Atlantic less salty and less dense. Because it's less dense, the water doesn't sink as fast, stalling the AMOC engine and causing the region to cool.

This anomaly is linked to the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) — a massive ocean current acting as a global heat pump. AMOC transports warm water from the tropics to the North Atlantic, which is why places like Western Europe stay unusually mild!

The Cold Blob While the entire planet continues to warm, one specific patch in the North Atlantic just south of Greenland is mysteriously cooling. Scientists call it the "Cold Blob," and it's a terrifying warning sign that one of Earth's most vital climate systems is changing.

The story we need to tell is how MAHA relates to MAGA, how it channels ambiguous anxieties and ties them to a genuinely extremist rightwing cause, how to situate it in the history of the Far Right, and how it captures the defining sensibilities of today’s extremists.

MAHA plays a key role in the broader far-right ecosystem: It seizes upon anxieties and tendencies that aren’t necessarily tethered to a specific political agenda initially and ties them to a political project of rightwing extremism.

In a remotely healthy political culture, anyone associated with the deranged extremism of people like Robert Kennedy Jr. would be shunned by mainstream society and ostracized from public life - and the party that elevates such forces would be consigned to the trash heap of history.
