Here's a fun way to end the day. This stupid fucknut has decided that vaccines are bad/clicks - presumably he had them and did OK on them - so to get rid of them, he's boasting he's drinking Radium Water. Which will make his whole jaw dissolve and then his other bones. futurism.com/future-socie...

I come from humble roots, my parents were not long off rations. We ate chicken or mince normally. Duck was for some reason a thing of rich people

Due to the size and the vagaries of the clarity on the projector which tends to over contrast things, the model shots feel like ThunderbIrds, and you can almost read the watermark on the gardening gloves of the Rebel Command

Watching Empire Strikes Back on the projector and it feels like sitting up against the TV when I was a child visiting my Aunty's house and waiting for a christmas dinner that turned out to be a kit kat and a bag of crisps due to some confusion over how big a Duck was and that it would not feed 15.

I genuinely think Digger would look more interesting if Tom Cruise was doing the same performance but with no prosthetics at all. He's already a 64 year old multi-millionare. He's what they look like.

From reading A Writer's Tale, RTD usually doesn't have a DW story 'done' until the day before shooting. until then, it's entirely a loose collection of onscreen moments he's thought of that would be 'magnificent'. He can't help but sell the sizzle of an imaginary sausage in this sort of interview...

The bases were just meant to allow the boyz models to be placed on the empty trukks, and all they really did was make your minis fall over constantly. Not worth the potential damage to the minis!

NEW: According to a bombshell report in the New York Times, Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah threatened to walk out of Pope Leo XIV's Al encyclical launch in May because the pope rejected the idea that machines can be conscious.
Olah's team then privately lobbied the pope's advisers "to take the possibility of model consciousness seriously." Pope Leo XIV held firm.
For months, Anthropic has wined and dined theologians and religious scholars under nondisclosure agreements, hoping they would bless the idea that Claude has moral standing.

This will never stop blowing my mind. A 12-year sequence of real telescope images of a star 133 lightyears away. And around it, four planets slowly orbiting. Four real exoplanets, each more massive than Jupiter, imaged as they move around their host star.

Ballpoint pen, watercolor, colored pencil, a little crayon, and charcoal pencil.

Our guy pulls up deep in the forest on his 2-speed bike. He’s flanked by tall dark trees and his path is blocked by a massive spider. He lets the Big Fella know it’s on. “Big Fella,” he says. “I fixed my 2-speed. You still wanna race.” Reader, you know Big Fella wants in on that action. Next slide.Against a starry night sky we see silhouettes of Big Fella and our man racing down a hill. It’s unclear in the drawing who will win but Big Fella is likely about to pull away.

Several weeks ago, Phil Tippett's legendary animation studio in Berkeley, CA closed. An anonymous hero noticed a folder of CDs. This turned out to be hundreds of unseen hi-res images and videos from Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, etc. ~90 isos for you to browse: archive.org/details/tipp...
A casual Star Wars alien fella at the cantina, in a sun faded, reddish photo. Someone will be mad at me for not knowing who this is. Phil, a balding Caucasian man, poses a model of the garthok, an antagonist from the Coneheads movie.Phil, a balding caucasian man, points at some CG on a CRT computer monitor, as a younger man looks on. The screen shows a model of a dinosaur attacking a jeep, while there's an actual physical model of that event in the foreground for reference.an isolated shot of a star wars vehicle. Sorry, I don't know star wars lol

I'm not surprised in the slightest, we only sent absolute cunts as MEPs. The EU was used as a handy scapegoat by every UK government for decades and vilified in the Murdoch press continuously. it was a useful excuse for terrible policy choices and easy points to score with nationalist jingoism

The image is of a four panel comic.
The first panel shows Sarah, the protagonist, holding a red ball labeled "A SILLY MEME".
The second panel shows Sarah taking the ball and going through a door labeled "GROUP CHAT".
The third panel shows a group of women sitting together and consoling one woman in the center. The woman in the center is saying "...And that's how it happened. It's been the worst day of my life."
The fourth panel shows Sarah standing in the doorway behind them awkwardly holding the red ball.

Of the 3, KITT was the cool looking one. Airwolf was a pretty standard helicopter when it wasn't flashing its rockets, and Street Hawk looked like a shitty scifi scrambler.
040
Andy Foster (Heresy Miniatures) @heresyminiatures.com · 28/09/2026
In the event of impending doom, Alex Street Hawk would hit turbo then airbrakes and flip 1280 degrees *in the opposite direction of travel* against all sense of logic and God's laws. Somehow this did not snap his neck like a breadstick and he always stuck the landing.
140
Andy Foster (Heresy Miniatures) @heresyminiatures.com · 28/09/2026
Street Hawk, short lived because they replaced the idea of sexy ladies with a balding angry nerd scientist, also had Turbo Boost and used it jump over shit BUT it's main gimmick was air brakes
130
Andy Foster (Heresy Miniatures) @heresyminiatures.com · 28/09/2026
Airwolf used the Turbo Boost to literally cut to the chase scenes, but mainly it was it's use of a stock shot of the 3 barrel rocket launcher dropping out of the bottom of th ehelicopter and proceeding to fire copiously that we 12 year olds loved
140
Andy Foster (Heresy Miniatures) @heresyminiatures.com · 28/09/2026
Knight Rider's Turbo Boost was always to clear an obstacle, and if you watch closely, that car went into the ground like a dart right before they cut to The Hoff going WHoo! and bouncing in his chair. Even when it landed flat, you'd see the axle snap. They used ~16 cars per season if I remember
