I’ve always said this! We all went to the same unis! The best teachers I’ve come across work in low SES schools. Innovative, resilient and ridiculously good at behaviour management. Teachers with students who are already primed for learning are also talented and work hard but have it much easier.

Wow! That is extortionate! No wonder you stopped. Are you in the US? Here in Australia delivery is free if you spend over $250. Smaller deliveries if you choose the right timeslot can be $2-4 (up to $15 if you want it within the hour). No tips or service fees apart from a $2 fee for bags.

I thought the same thing only last night while using a measuring jug. It was difficult to make out the measurements as the ink was fading. I also noticed a chip in the little pouring ‘mouth’ and wondered if I had inadvertently been abusing it. I guess, sadly, it’s a quality issue instead.
