Lappi: For me, there’s a certain freedom in furry fiction. Real fiction has to be realistic. (Boring!) Science fiction has to be plausible. (Less boring!) But a story about a bunch of critters turning into pastries and hijinx ensue? Very acceptable in furry fiction!

Other than that, the ren faire costume idea clearly resonated with folks. Gotta keep an eye on those goat pants! I could see someone slipping in with a group of partying satyr cosplayers “temporarily visiting this realm while we can blend in”, only to discover they weren’t just acting in character.

As far as story ideas that came out of this, I definitely need to write a tale about a satyr retiring to be part of a shepherd’s flock. It sounds like it could be a fun negotiation. He’d probably rub off on the shepherd, but maybe his grazing lands would be safe from the encroaching city? Hmm. 🤔
