It's been very cool to see so much Star Wars: The Old Republic activity on Bluesky! I am the creator of the blog "This Week in Aurebesh" and for nine years I've been translating the alien languages of the game and discussing topics related to SWTOR and Star Wars in general. Here are a few favorites.

An aurebesh from Star Wars: The Old Republic text sign, featuring a large credit symbol and a droid icon, for the "Coruscant Marketplace" and my recreation translated into english.

My English recreation of a neon sign from Star Wars: The Old Republic above the original version seen in the game which reads "Good Eats" in the Sith Prophesy typeface.

This reminds me of a few things that happened during the recession in 2009. Positions were cut, there were massive layoffs. But then, the some of the very same positions came back, within a year for a good deal less per hour. Makes me wonder when they rehire what the wage will look like.

In a Public Notice released on April 22, 2026, the FCC is asking Americans to submit comments about whether the TV Oversight Management Board (TVOMB) should create new TV ratings to alert viewers to "transgender and gender non-binary programming" and "the discussion or promotion of gender identity themes."

Reminder that if a fiction market is asking the writer to pay for publication, pay for submission, or pay for reviews, that market is a scam. Money never, ever flows from writer to publisher. Ever.
