I've been working on my #Grafana Apple client for a while now. It seems to be in a more reasonable shape now. Want to play with it? testflight.apple.com/join/ek18ZuGH Best thing: You don't need an own Grafana setup, you can also play w/ public dashboards on play.grafana.com! #o11y #Observability

It took a *long* time, but the new release of my "Past for iChat" is out: apps.apple.com/us/app/past-... It's a little app to open old #iChat files, you know, to dwell in the past and look at 15+ year old things. A major feature is the new - entirely human created @matthewskiles.com icon.

The new Past for iChat macOS app icon. It's a blue Aqua like bubble on a striped blue/white background, w/ a rewinding clock icon on top.

Screenshot of the Past app, showing a finder window with a chat log preview and an open chat log with two people conversing.

I'm good, but I'm a little surprised how that can happen. Is there no release process in place which makes sure that things still compile and honour the semantic version across a matrix of setups? No offence, but swift-log seems like a component so very core that is actually used by everything ...

Yes, more of the discussion is over on Masto.

There are others but it’s a fair point, quite a few major players are not listed.

Alien:Earth has shown that even in the corporate-owned hellscape of a dystopia we might face in 2120, at least we get proper interface controls.

A photo of a gadget from Alien Earth. It has a screen abou;t the size of a small touchscreen phone in landscape at the top, and below it some good proper knobs and big chunk-arse sliders. You can tell just from the picture that they *click* into positions when they move.

As usual that depends on your needs. I'm happy w/ MWC in SwiftUI contexts.

Who says that this only affects free accounts?

I’m not looking forward to an iOS based laptop, like at all, that seems horrible. Though it may eventually happen, the AvP kinda already is that. And not for any good.

I suspect it is going to be called macOS 16, but not quite sure.

Why did you love it? Because you could do Microsoft stuff on Linux?

It is likely that it is going to be quite a while until I actually find the time to finish and release it, but @duncandesi9n.bsky.social already made be a great icon for my #RealityKit inspector. Great work, love it!
