Surprise! In Los Angeles/ USA this week for the first time at GameSoundCon. Also featuring on an @audiokinetic.bsky.social panel. Looking at all delegates this week, I’m waiting to be told that they’ve made a huge mistake 🤣 AK are family, so can’t wait. Could be convinced to stay until Friday.

Celebrated at a wedding this weekend. Reunited with friends. Also a welcome reminder of my own power; From hotel concierge compliments, an impromptu 'Lady in Red' serenade from a resident, to being informed that I have a ‘dazzling’ full smile, I felt beautiful, relaxed, and deeply feminine.

Life, lately: I’m now Helen Lynch, Master of Science. Might go to France and celebrate, instead of graduate. Thanks to game music fest for the invitation last weekend. Time to breathe, write my EP, orchestrate for a VGM concert and tackle games I haven’t opened!

Chaired/ created Qs for this months ago for #AirCon25. We discussed intricacies of creating dynamic music systems that adapt to gameplay, and shared our experiences working on high-profile titles. Warning ⚠️ It got a bit deep. Thanks for having me for a 3rd time AW. m.youtube.com/watch?v=CsK2...

Hi composers. I need your mixing engineer and mastering engineer recommendations for hybrid orchestral music, please and thank you. Specifically engineers with serious credits who are used to mixing MIDI mockups with live recordings. Making a Rolodex for myself. DMs open. Thanks so much x

It was a pleasure to chair this and chat to dear friends months ago for AirCon 2025. It’s one of 3 online sessions I hosted last year. Expect one more interview to be uploaded, soon. Let me know if any of this resonated with you. Grab an iced matcha/coffee/ tea and enjoy. youtu.be/E5A83wE0lCQ

Women don’t want to be with a ‘nice guy’. We want to be with a good man. Went on a date on Saturday where the guy held the door open for me but let it go and it hit an older couple behind us. ‘Someone who’s kind to you but rude to the waiter is not a nice person’. Date instantly over.

Get yourself a producer like mine. A day off? Important question is…… Apartment is clean and no jobs need doing. I’ll make soup and recover. What do I download and play tomorrow on PS5?

Spent 2 days music editing creating 1hr+ of music for something cool. 500 tracks and counting. Will stop when I’m told I can’t deliver any more music. I’m so happy. Now on vacation until Wednesday❤️ Work apps = deleted. Edinburgh, I’m on my way!

I’m in awe of this title and halfway through. Adore the artistry. I’m dying to nerd-out about the clever music and systems but experience it yourself. Finishing the game in a mix room, soon. The whole cohesive experience is a warm hug. Here’s to more next Saturday❤️ #SouthOfMidnight #Wwise

Still from south of midnight. Hazel the main character is speaking with a talking fish, that of which is an intricately detailed character almost reminiscent of fabric.

Mirror’s Edge is of my favourite games of all-time. Music wasn’t dynamically mixed; was this due to time constraints, limitations of OpenAL as an API, or memory budget of the PS3? Maybe a danger of skipping audio events if exceeding the allocated voice count? m.youtube.com/watch?si=nF3...

@altblkera.bsky.social girlies, you’re my new fave band. Iconic. If you’re ever here in Manc, give me a shout and let’s do coffee. Congratulations on a fantastic night opening for Pendulum. I’d love to write string parts for you sometime should you ever need them. You’re only getting started ❤️❤️❤️

There are many trying to prey off my expertise recently who fully expect me to leave my full-time gig for insultingly short-term (1-3 month) contracts. Full on interviews only to drop that casually into conversation. Twice in the past week alone. Get real, lads. ✌️

Oíche Shamhna Shona Daoibh! Christians celebrate All Souls Day on November 1st. In Ireland, Hawthorne trees are culturally protected and roads are built to avoid them. Superstition is strongest in rural areas. Did you know that Bram Stoker was Irish? What games are you playing tonight? 👻 🧛

3 games I was slated to work on have been released this year and a 4th one announced their trailer. It’s moments like these I wonder why I made the choices I had to make at the time and what could’ve/ should’ve been. I’d be a different person. But… for better or worse? Apologies for naval gazing🙂

My newest boss fight as music designer and my 8th update since joining this time last year is now live. I also drove the music direction and presented the design to my team. Meet these two strong snakey women. ❤️ They’ll be part of my next reel. My new tech music teammate and I are very proud.

1st anniversary as an in-house Music Designer vs this time in 2016/17. Music experience leaks from my bones. Worked on 9 updates since Oct. and soloed 6 of them. The newest goes live, soon, and I’m so proud of our handiwork. Now, I need to finish my reel. Tired, emotional, proud. I did it, ma.

Also big ups to my family. They’ve been through it all with me. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their emotional support. Any sane family would’ve considered walking away from my previous career path in 2018 to be a dumb idea. But no, not this bunch. And here we are.

Sly 2: Band of Thieves was a game I played to death as a kid. Can I hypothetically manifest working on a remaster if it becomes a thing? This, Star Wars Jedi sequel, Witcher IV, Okami sequel, AC: Hexe, or 007. Even if only creating edits for cinematics.

I packed up my life and landed in a new city 1 year ago today. In that time I’ve: - Done a LOT of travelling. - Spoken at conferences. - Played on a Final Fantasy EP. - Became an MPSE member. - Been offered side-gigs. I plan to travel to France in the new year to decompress. Much love to all x

I’ve died 5 times in the past decade. As I near a milestone I never thought I’d see, I thank my friends/ family for enduring my ennui and madness and for championing my success. I know I got myself here as I made and still live with painful decisions. Whether it’s been worth it remains to be seen Xx

My alter ego - kicking ass lifting more than half my weight, sweating-out my rage. Hitting the gym and staying healthy puts control back into my hands. A playlist feat. Mick Gordon, System of a Down, and Slipknot helps. Down nearly 10kg. At this rate, I’ll be fighting dudes on the mocap stage✌️
