I’ve been very sick because my body is still an out-of-control blood producing factory. We’re now hoping University of Washington can figure out how to help me. On top of this, I also have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). Recovery is slow but I’ll take anything at this point. #mysteryillness

Medical visits this week: * Oncologist * Dentist (regular cleaning) * Nephrologist Sorry I haven’t been around but I’ve been trying to just get by day to day. Also I’m trying to live as much as I can until I get a formal diagnosis. On the upside, I have a rollator & it helps so much! #disabled

Phoenix Sky Harbor airport is the most hostile, poorly-laid out airport I have EVER been to. Need to get to E gates? TOUGH SHIT. You have to go through security AGAIN just to change gates. SHAME on #PHX! No signs either. If there’s any way you can avoid this airport, do it.

Sweetie, the cat I raised from a kitten & lives with my son, has to be put to sleep this week. I’m crushed. She’s 19 & has pancreatic cancer. 😢 No diagnosis yet for me. More tests. Health declining. 😞 A gentle reminder to all US #gaming workers that you should join @videogameworkers.bsky.social

I hate #mobilegame ads with “FAIL” on them so much that I’m actively downloading & supporting #games that don’t use it. Ads with playable demos are the best. I will rejoice when that damn “FAIL” #marketing shit is ultimately rejected. I turned 47 today. I can’t believe I’m that old. #birthday

As my health continues to decline, I have to spend more time away from social media. I’ve been told in no uncertain terms that I have to decrease my stress levels. With the whole world going to shit, my heart breaks for all the folks suffering. 😞 I mentally can’t handle it right now. I’m sorry. 😞

The sadly cancelled game #Fable Legends had some of the most brilliant game design in terms of PvE (player versus environment) because another player controlled the environment. I truly think something along those lines would work so well for #fabtcg PvE, especially by leveraging the judge program.

#Skype officially shuts down today. I still remember when Lync turned into Skype for Business but it was essentially the same app. Then Teams showed up. SFB shut down. Then there were 2 Skype apps for Windows, one being the UWP & neither of them working all that well. It was confusing. RIP Skype.

I hate Mirei Park from #Yakuza5 with the fiery passion of a thousand suns. She’s right up there with Hojo (FF7) & the bitchy model girl in “Skip And Loafer” anime. Imagine if my narcissistic, abusive mother was a Japanese idol girl manager. That’s Mirei Park.

🫢 #Confession 🫢 Odin has always been my least favorite summons/Eidolon/Eikon. Wes played the Odin event story in #FF7 Ever Crisis but I just couldn’t get through it. I never liked Titan much either. So seeing them as villains in FF16 was super easy for me. Bahamut is an epic gay icon. 🏳️‍🌈

One thing I did when I was desperate for employment was going around malls & applying to every store. It makes juggling schedules of multiple jobs much easier as the travel time is reduced. Strip malls & shopping centers also work. Remember: a job is a job. No shame in doing whatever to survive.

If you have #autism, DO NOT PUT YOURSELF ON THIS REGISTRY. If you live in a state with a mandatory autism registry, move ASAP. DO NOT give them a forwarding address, especially if they ask. First, Republirapists went after trans folks. Now it’s open season on autistics. #RESIST #DoNotComply

Officially trying to build a studio for a publisher pitch. To that end, I'm looking for game devs who've been victims of layoffs or studio closures who'd be interested in signing on if it's greenlit and funding is secured. More info in the thread to follow, but here's the initial list:

WE’RE LOOKING FOR...
PRODUCER
Please help me I’m dying
UI DESIGNER
UI ARTIST
2D ANIMATOR
FX and little details to make portraits and scenes come alive
2D ARTIST
Painterly backgrounds and props, able to closely replicate a certain look and feel
NARRATIVE DESIGNER
Design and implementation; not a writing role specifically, but you aren’t locked out of the writers’ room
PROGRAMMER(S)
Experience with popular engines (Unity, Unreal, Godot) is a plus
Email (address) with resume and tell me about yourself! I’m looking for people who are kind, thoughtful, and have been utterly fucked over
