Nokia Arena yesterday - my first time seeing the Finnish men's national volleyball team play live! #EuroVolleyM

POV from inside Nokia Arena in Tampere, Finland, during the opening match of CEV European Championships 2026. The arena is brightly lit with an almost full audience and the Finnish and Danish men's teams on the court.

I kind of saw this coming but it’s still very exciting! There had been a running joke in skating fandom since Shoma retired that he should come back as an ice dancer and I can’t believe it happened

I completely forgot Olivia and Tim were doing technical elements during their program, it was so mesmerizing. What elements? What competition? That was a piece of art #WorldFigure

I love how the siblings power of the Czech ice dance teams comes through on the ice. One is basically "straddle your gay brother" and the other one is basically "strangle your brother with your skirt" #WorldFigure ⛸️

Always excited for the influx of interest in figure skating during an Olympic year. This year has been bigger than others in my memory, at least. Def hope that the interest actually translates into more regular fans in the sport! And new fans - Jr Worlds + Worlds coming up!

it just occurred to me that this is what being a figure skating fan is like right now #MilanoCortina2026 ⛸️

an edit of the two guys on a bus meme, which is an image of two men sitting on opposite sides of a bus with one looking out the window at a rock wall and the other looking at a beautiful view. The inspirational cartoon was created in August 2013 by Brazilian illustrator Genildo Ronchi.

in this edit, the smiling guy on the beautiful view side is labelled as “casual olympic fans” and above him the text says “oooh a back flip!” On the other hand, the sad guy on the rock wall side is labelled as “stuck here for years fans” and the text above him lists all the problems in figure skating that die hard fans know well: injured skaters, SA allegations, abusive coaches, unsupportive feds, questionable scoring, citizenship issues, bigotry and misogyny, oh, and back flips.
