CARE WORK IS HIGHLY SKILLED WORK and only paid so poorly because of the failure of successive governments to value it properly.

Loving #TOTP 1983. Some good stuff, some banal claptrap. Just as I remember it. Happy days.

Just putting this quotation out there. “One in five care workers are foreign nationals. I don’t know about you, but I don’t particularly want to wipe someone’s bum, and I’m very grateful for the people who do this work.”

Well that was some game today at the City Ground. Could’ve been any outcome and any score but wasn’t our day. Plenty of positives. As someone once said: fine margins. Onwards and upwards #NFFC

Have a closer look at this, Stephen. Jenrick was born in 1982 and is a Wolves fan. If he was in the away end the only times they played there after he was aged two were in League Cup ties in 1989 and 1996 and in the PL in 2003. Like everything else this shapeshifter says, I don't believe a word.

One thing making Trump so difficult to deal with is that it's impossible to separate his politics from his grotesque ego. He's obviously a hugely damaged, possibly deranged, person, but he articulates it through politics. I'm not sure that's ever been the case for the leader of a democracy before.

It is people like Wallace who embed the stigmatisation of autistic individuals. Yes, I can miss social cues, but have amazingly never wandered round work with a sock on my cock. What he is accused of is not autistic behaviour, it's predatory behaviour. www.bbc.com/news/article...

Just been visiting my 96yo dad in his care home. His carers are overwhelmingly from Africa or South Asia. Most of them could earn more shelf stacking. It’s an immigrant that puts him to bed and gets him up. It’s an immigrant who feeds him. It’s an immigrant who cleans him. They are not ‘strangers’.

For his own sake, I hope Starmer has an eye on Bluesky. He’s been absolutely slated today by his core support. God knows how he pivots and u-turns at this stage but he’s toast if he doesn’t. Such a wasted opportunity to make a real difference. The country needs him to perform and he’s failing.

Today was the day, Labour lost their core vote, make no mistake, Starmer is a walking talking Tory/Reformer. He isn't even in the centre anymore. A sheep in wolves clothing. He is done. What an absolute fuck up in their very first year of governance in 14 years. I am flabbergasted & tired.

This just exemplifies the hostility and disregard this government is showing towards disabled individuals. Not only are they driving millions more people into poverty, they are also heightening the dismissive and disbelieving attitudes already far too prevalent against disabled people.

Vaccines don't cause autism. The earth isn't actually flat. Thats two science based facts that for some unnerving reason are still disputed... despite lots and lots of scientific evidence to support them. Please make it make sense.
