Just made my first sourdough loaf ever, from the starter I grew at home. Not perfect but a damn tasty loaf of bread.

A loaf of sourdough cut in half. There are large air pockets near the top and a tight crumb on the bottom. The outside is a deep brown.

Yesterday I made a pickle rye loaf and today I used it for a Reuben. Every ingredient is a star, pastrami, Swiss, sauerkraut, brown mustard and the rye. They play together in harmony. Truly a supergroup of sandwiches.

Finally made a loaf of rye that rose above the pan! King Arthur's Pickle Rye, with 2/3 cup of pickle juice.

Football and Baking, a nice challah for obvious reasons. It's delicious and timely.

Last year I broadcast a wildflower mix on the side of my house, this year I have this with no effort. It doesn't get old. I'm in awe every time.

Really unsure why Costco decided to start selling 3 packs of buckets, and even more unsure of why they seemed to have a draw for passers by. A man walked by and said "ohh buckets". I nearly became a buyer.
