Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 24/09/2026The big twist in this documentary is that it's all entirely mocapped and CG which is how they made it look like a traditionally lensed/lit multi-camera film production. Also Nathan Fielder plays every character in it 000

Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 04/08/2026This seems really specific to ChatGPT's image generation, for some reason it overindexes on natural textures and so everything that has this kind of noisy surface (clouds, water, leaves, etc) comes out hyper-fried. It's a weird regression back to a heavily artifacted output. 000
Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 17/07/2026I was driving out in Norway a few weeks ago and was surprised how exceedingly easy it was to acclimate to slower driving with just the simple shift to metric on the speed signs (slower speed but higher number) and the complete lack of stop signs anywhere. 000
Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 14/07/2026If he said instead, "Get me a 24" cheese pizza that's star-shaped, with gummi bears, coconut milk reduction, pumpkin, artichokes, and possum fur, with a 2.5"-wide crust" and the chef makes him that, then... who designed that pizza? 220
Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 08/07/2026IMO the most important stuff to know is facts directly related to US/PR relations and how the overall picture is not nearly as rosy as Democrats would like to believe it is. 010
Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 08/07/2026No I get that, and you have some super important questions here on this list, but several (like this one) get pretty esoteric and not quite so relevant to the status issue. 110
Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 08/07/2026This is a fun quiz but what exactly is the value of knowing how long they waited on Saicedo with regards to being allowed to weigh in on status opinions? 210

Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 04/06/2026Really annoying to see the obtuse reaction to this. Iterating on ideas ≠ coming up with ideas. It's being able to test the stuff you come up with so you can validate/revise/discard efficiently. There is zero encroachment on creativity here. 040
Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 29/07/2025Funniest bit is that the essay he coined it in was part of his climate change denial schtick. Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 11/03/2025Right?? This doesn’t have to be free-for-all conversation (which would be bad) or bust. Plenty of intent can go into the rails and limits of the implementation to keep the design integrity whole. 000

Hector Alvarez @hecface.bsky.social · 25/02/2025It’s definitely great not having right wing dickheads and nazis here but all it does is make space for the left vs libs fight to get vastly more omnipresent and annoying.
