This company on LinkedIn that claims to help freelancers was crowing about its new series about how people set their rates. Yeah, it’s easy to hold out for the big money when you don’t need it. I am so, so tired of rich people.

Obviously, not everyone has this.
Sara told us, "I am fortunate to be in a very comfortable financial position thanks to having gone through an IPO a few years back, and thanks to my husband's business. So I have some flexibility in terms of the type of work I take on and how much."

Checking out new couches at furniture stores via bicycle! With stops for shopping and frozen custard plus some stylish riders. Lovely day for a ride and I didn’t have to deal with getting stuck in traffic or parking.

Yes, just stop buying coffee and you'll be able to afford a house! That costs $500K and you'll be paying 7%+ interest on the mortgage!

Eataly is wildly expensive for some things ($17.50 for a pint of gelato???) and cheaper for others (Amaro Nonino was $50 there, compared to $55-$60 at other stores).

It's crazy that an American president says this and it barely makes a ripple. We've become so inured to him. It's awful. I hate everyone who helped him get to and stay in power.

Hi, I have some ideas about how to support mental health on campus, specifically women's mental health.
I'm partnering with The Chronicle of Higher Education to host an inspiring and practical webinar focused on proactive mental health and student flourishing. Today’s college students face rising emotional challenges, and this event will equip educators, counselors, and campus leaders with actionable strategies to foster resilience, belonging, and positivity across campus life.

We’ve put these people on such an intellectual pedestal and most don’t deserve it. Remember when Scalia was shocked an interviewer didn’t believe in a literal Satan? And these people are handing out decisions like they’re all-knowing gods.

Ugh my fellow Gen Xers, this is embarrassing.
Exceprt from quoted article: All this is to illustrate the speed of recent
social progress, certainly by historical standards. Perhaps not coincidentally, Gen X-the generation of Americans born in the years after the passage of the Voting Rights Act and the sexual revolution—is also currently the most conservative, pro-Donald Trump generation in the United States. This is not to single out Gen X, but to note that a great deal of earth-shaking social change has happened in the span of a single generation. This type of rapid transformation rarely goes unfelt or unnoticed.
