I'm a stomach sleeper, and my normal position for like 40 years is my arm above my head under my pillow, and every medical person I've said just that much to have winced with "yeah…" And now both of my shoulders are fucked. Physical therapy has been good, slow, but showing improvement.

Amazingly, no rush of adrenaline, no chickening out, no mentally magnifying the pain of the prick (which was barely anything) and just the odd sensation of the needle sliding against muscle until full insertion. Press and wait for the oil to be delivered, retract, and cleanup the kit.

I went slow this time. Going fast, almost like making my leg a dart board, came with a rush of adrenaline that usually I would chicken out with my first downward swing. I found the bevel, placed the tip to my skin after the alcohol evaporated. I applied a small amount of pressure and went in.

My father pointed out to me as a kid in the 90's that phone polling ends up being biased towards people who have phone lines. Those people that answer have free time, are willing to talk to a stranger that cold called them, and on the subject of politics. I presume those people look similar.
