I've taken my wife to the ER four times in the last two years because of nausea that prevented her from keeping even water down.

It stinks to watch her suffer as she's normally a hard stick even when she's hydrated, as they dig around in her arm.

Then they call a more senior nurse, at least one has been a veteran, who comes in with an ultrasound, and says "how could they miss this?" And then proceeds to get the line installed flawlessly on her first try.

Her first time was on vacation to Cleveland, and their famous Clinic network hospital.

Her curt doctor, I watched from the fishbowl like wall, was having social issues with the nurses, and finally apologized to one and explained that his daughter had passed away earlier that week.

It was a form of AuDHD torture for me, we left the hotel probably around 11pm, she had IV around 1am. She finally got rest, nopping in her ER exam room, and I had only an uncomfortable chair, contemplating if I'd be in trouble for trying to sleep on the floor or not. We left somewhere around am in a Lyft.

The local, suburban hospital ER visits have been much more pleasant, if only for the fact that I knew I had a car to drive home for a nap of my
own.

Biggest disappointments: - Transfromers - Dungeons & Dragons Both modern Stern tables. Transformers basically had a big flat nothing in the middle of the table. D&D was just, meh? At one point the top lights went out? Both rely too much on their video screen gimmicks.

Wide told me the pressure she's feeling about my transition, having to juggle names and pronouns with who she's speaking with. I'm kinda like Douglas Adam's thoughts on time travel.

One of the major problems encountered in time travel is not that of becoming your own father or mother. There is no problem in becoming your own father or mother that a broad-minded and well-adjusted family can't cope with. There is no problem with changing the course of history-the course of history does not change because it all fits together like a jigsaw. All the important changes have happened before the things they were supposed to change and it all sorts itself out in the end.

The major problem is simply one of grammar, and the main work to consult in this matter is Dr. Dan Streetmentioner's Time Traveler's Handbook of 1001 Tense Formations. It will tell you, for instance, how to describe something that was about to happen to you in the past before you avoided it by time-jumping forward two days in order to avoid it. The event will be descibed differently according to whether you are talking about it from the standpoint of your own natural time, trom a time in the further future, or a time in the further past and is futher complicated by the possibility of conducting conversations while you are actually traveling from one time to another with the intention of becoming your own mother or father.

Most readers get as far as the Future Semiconditionally Modified Subinverted Plagal Past Subjunctive Intentional before giving up; and in fact in later aditions of the book all pages beyond this point have been left blank to save on printing costs.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy skips lightly over this tangle of academic abstraction, pausing only to note that the term "Future Perfect" has been abandoned since it was discovered not to be.

I suppose that I see myself both yearning to be and present femme, and also knowing this cultural objectification of women, but also aspiring to be something that can transcend pain of brutalization, and ultimately made whole again even if at extreme time scales.

I think I like "mechabre" and the whole transhumanism sci-fi trope is that it would imply that I could be fixed, or be able to swap out parts until my spirit or ghost can find itself in the machine.
