Look back at every class you’ve ever taken and ask yourself if you would’ve been better off with an art class. I’d trade in at least half the classes I’ve ever taken if I had a robot drawing class under my belt during formative years.

I was trying to explain web programming languages to a non-developer friend and this is the best I came up with.

if we really wanted to make smartphones good then buttons would all have unique noises, not just skeuomorphic “tap tap tap.” Every button on a keyboard would make a different noise but we’re not trying to achieve greatness or anything

In an alternate reality, Playstation and XBOX just reverted to only physical media, Steam joins in because they all copy each other. Every game you own digitally is converted to disk or cartridge format, put in a case and delivered to your doorstep all at once. How big is your shipment? Wwyd?

THEY PUT AI IN THE CLOCK. D:< I FUCKING HATE YOU SO MUCH MSOFT. THEY FORCED AI INTO THE CLOCK AND MANAGED TO BREAK IT. THEY BROKE THE CLOCK. TURNING ON "DO NOT DISTURB" TRIGGERS AN ALARM THAT GOES OFF EVERY 25 MIN. WE WERE BETTER OFF WITH SUNDIALS. GO BACK 3,525 YEARS AND BRING BACK SUNDIALS.

Maybe you don’t like Anthropic but anyone cheering their failures is woefully uninformed about their new model, Claude Mythos. It is, easily, the most powerful cybersecurity weapon of all time and if Anthropic goes down, it would end up in the hands of the highest bidder. I don’t think we want that

Ultraleap got bought by a digital musical instruments company and now they’re doing… a piano keyboard. I get it... but we’ve got ultrasonic haptic arrays, hand gesture detection, non-contact controllers with force feedback… and we landed on skeuomorphing an instrument from the 1800s.
