I was trying to explain web programming languages to a non-developer friend and this is the best I came up with.

In an alternate reality, Playstation and XBOX just reverted to only physical media, Steam joins in because they all copy each other. Every game you own digitally is converted to disk or cartridge format, put in a case and delivered to your doorstep all at once. How big is your shipment? Wwyd?

Ultraleap got bought by a digital musical instruments company and now they’re doing… a piano keyboard. I get it... but we’ve got ultrasonic haptic arrays, hand gesture detection, non-contact controllers with force feedback… and we landed on skeuomorphing an instrument from the 1800s.
