I remember waiting to get my first library card aged 6. That allowed me take 6 books out at a time. With those books I could escape from a chaotic and traumatic childhood. Definitely saved my life.

I can't stress enough how vital clean drinking water is and how data centres can affect that. It's catastrophic for those communities and I would expect that the UK government conducts diligence before ANY data centres are approved. youtube.com/shorts/LUCXj...

This is exciting news for me! I can't tell you the amount of times the nurse or doctor cannot find my veins and I feel like a pin cushion. The back of hand is often used, but it's extremely painful. Sometimes a second appointment has to be made because there's no one on duty who can do it.

I remember this brilliant show on TV in the 70's in the UK. The whole family sat and watched together. It's a travesty that his books are being removed from libraries. That is not free speech, it's censorship.

It was my older brother's invention when we ran out of food. There was 7 of us and mam worked long hours. My mam would make a mild curry with mince and hard boiled eggs on top. Very exotic in the 1970's.

I raise this issue at work, every time we are encouraged to use AI. No one is listening, no one cares. Why hasn't an environmental impact been done before committing to AI? It's madness. People use AI for everything and now they can't write coherent sentences. The quality of comms is very poor.
