An explanation on why Big Walk isn't available on Xbox. bigwalk.game/xbox

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
House House

this is the fucking problem with all the "AI is useful" shit, it's like... it's all, constantly, always, me me me me me. not one second spent thinking about the degradation of literally everything about life and society, just my convenience trumps all.

gacha games are a plague in the world of games and I have zero respect for any of these games. nothing against the people who enjoy their gambling with a pinch of anime girls, but I'll never respect any of these games

Games media cuts have felt unending for a while, but the mood feels especially grim among indie outlets with the latest wave of layoffs. More than ever, if the game industry values its media, it needs to support them. Buy some advertising, sponsor content, purchase subs. It makes a big difference.

I keep coming back to monster hunter rise very casually every now and then. it's such a fun game, even if the mechanics are a bit overwhelming at times. it's my first MH game too, so I have a soft spot for it

I’ve been living in the uk for 9 years and this is the first time I’m actually glad summer is over. It’s been so long and hot, I’m ready for the cold and cozy weather. So much of what I’ve been watching and playing fits that vibe so much better

Rockstar can spend millions on real world marketing and create a 400 $ merch box full of clutter, but releasing the actual product in a proper state is too much to ask. You have no idea how much this industry is laughing behind your backs while you still fill their pockets.

the whole ed / macklemore thing has been interesting to follow. I don’t think this type of backlash would’ve existed almost three years ago. one day everyone will say they’ve always been against genocide. hopefully we’ll remember those who did and those who just follow popular narratives
