So if I understand this correctly, the only thing that anybody really cares about in the Eagles/Jags game is the Jags’ backup long snapper. Do I have that right?

Seasons is a wonderful read. I actually just re-read it a few weeks ago. It’s one I constantly recommend to others. Fare thee well, O Hater of Having to Be the Official Scorer….

Not at all, just using it as frame of reference to reinforce what we were all saying.

tim @hazmatcorntail.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

No, but season 5, at least the first few episodes, wasn’t bad. Once we started with the Jimmy is DB Cooper, Stinkbutt, and Lisa being enraptured by Johnny, it became a mess. I looked on iMDB; the lowest rated episode of season 4 had a 7.3. Only two episodes in all of season 5 was that high.

We’re rewatching right now. I’m fine with 3, it worked just well enough. 4 seemed like it was thrown together and they overdid it on the celebrities. 5 seemed like a Hail Mary throw. I’m hopeful that more Tina Fey will make 6 better…

tim @hazmatcorntail.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Yes, thank you. There’s no reason to watch season 4 unless you want to ruin it.

It didn’t work, but Newsradio’s last few episodes seemed like the writers were determined to make us not miss it.

April of 2025, I believe. I remember what a big deal it was b/c Austin Wells used one to hit a leadoff homer to open the Yankees season. Yahoo even put little symbols next to players who used them.

Reposting this with alt text: Near as I can tell, you can't see a home Atlanta Hawks game from section 109 row 1 - the rows in section 109 are lettered not numbered. Not the case for the DC-area UMD Terps, who Catlin Clark put 38 on during the Feb 3 game. Their 109 has numbered rows.

Atlanta Hawks seating chart shows Section 109 has lettered rows

I’d be very curious to see the evolution of the Union/Bimbo deals since they began. When does the current contract expire? The article on the team site from 2023 didn’t specify what “multi year” meant.

Totally understandable. I’m voting for Rupert Hine’s “With One Look” from Better Off Dead. They ran the closing credits with a banger. Similarly, im voting for Freedom Fry’s “Rolling Down” that was used during the birth scene on Bones. Gorgeous song that highlighted the moment.

I listen to WXPN in Philadelphia, who play a lot of different genres, got in early on Brandi Carlisle and reliably play Kacey Musgraves. As far as I can tell, they’ve never played “Choosin Texas”, so I not only feel safe claiming to have not heard it, but reject the idea that it’s a sign of myopia.
