Escape From Playtime has some nice little touches that lend it a mischevious personality. But I do wonder if those little touches are going to be enough to sustain your interest in the long run. My preview for @bloody-disgusting.com bloody-disgusting.com/video-games/...

While 'Escape From Playtime' strictly appeals to those outside of the 'Poppy Playtime' fandom, there are flashes of it breaking out.

SILENT HILL: TOWNFALL is another resounding success for the Motoi Okamoto-era, although not without its flaws. I have not stopped thinking about it.

Awesome piece. I docked half a star from my own review because of the same puzzle that frustrated you near the end. I’m not sure how I was supposed to intuit the meaning of those symbols, other than by taking up a career in engineering.

I do think, to a certain extent, that the first couple of weeks is often the best time to play these things. Before the ultra committed players learn all the exploits, figure out the overpowered perk combos, stop playing in the right spirit, and generally impose their own rules on the game.

I really think that (alongside the fact that Michael actually feels like Michael and not just any other random slasher) is the game’s greatest asset right now. Hopefully it isn’t undermined once the inevitable dickheads descend upon lobbies

I agree with that 100%. The reason Dead by Daylight never grabbed me in the same way as F13 (despite the latter’s jank) is that its matches don’t capture that slasher movie dynamic. Unless there’s a film I’ve not seen in which overconfident victims just taunt an increasingly beleaguered killer
