EVIL DEAD BURN goes scorched earth with the grimmest, goriest and most stylishly uncompromising take on the series. It fully commits to its burning motif with an abusive French Extremity twist that leans heavily on the cruelty exhibited in the 2013 version. Still darkly comedic, but way more bitter

On a whim, I actually started reading Suzuki’s Ring last year and, in no time flat, proceeded to voraciously consume the entire series (minus the untranslated Tide). His books are bonkers, unpredictable and eminently readable. Of the ones I’ve read, Dark Water is the best but Birthday is great too
