I’m fortunate to still have my parents but I watched my mom go through it, losing her dad when I was young. It does get easier but it’s always there. 💗

I’ve frozen a bunch too I just harvested over a gallon of some small yellow/orange-ish tomato (I can’t remember what the hell I planted) and they are a little mealy for eating fresh. They will definitely become sauce this week.

I saw a video that used a packaged squash soup as the base for a pasta sauce in a big casserole and I thought that was smart. You could repurpose a block of frozen soup for a more complex dish if you wanted to change it up.

Wow! We typically go into November too. Last year we hardly got a hard frost until February; such a mild winter. I am apprehensive about this winter with the strong El Niño.

I put some marigolds starts in really late. They’ve just really started blooming the last few weeks. They grew huge first. It was fun to watch. We are still a ways away from our first frost here. Sorry yours are done for the year!
