Ugghhhhhhh...WHY does everyone have such dumb things to say about AI?! I don't understand how someone who loves the arts and has quite literally spent their entire life making things from their own creativity can think that AI usage is OK and can be compared to people's own infinite creativity.

Me from a different lifetime, 15 years ago. I was sooo naive and timid but thrilled to FINALLY be around horses. Carly was my favorite horse there - a spicy but sweet mare, who I loved for the short period of time I got to ride and spend time with her before she was sold.

LOL I saw the song hitting the news a couple of days ago because of its persistence as #1 in the charts. I have yet to hear it anywhere (or listen to it deliberately). Mind you, I also don't spend a whole lot of time out and about and listening to popular music these days. 😂

I may eventually switch to working on full-size cards, but for the moment, I found the idea of creating the drawing on a separate piece of paper less intimidating. Strathmore's Bristol vellum ACEO-sized cards are super affordable and you get 20 per package! Plus, the frame cards double as matting!

I am not working from my own reference photo (royalty-free ref, though), so I cannot share the photo here, but she is a very pretty cardinal and I am hoping the drawing will work out well despite the extra tiny size! I've never worked quite this small before except when working in graphite only!

Currently working on creating my first hand-drawn greeting card (to be sold, if all goes to plan!) featuring a female Northern Cardinal. The drawing itself is ACEO-sized (2.5 x 3.5"), and will be popped into a 'frame card' once completed. The freehand line drawing is finished. Now, to add color! 😍

Did you know your kid can be blind or have brain damage due to measles at birth? If Rubella pops off, then we can add deafness and severe birth defects to the list. Vaccinating your kids is so, so much less dangerous that the damage these diseases can cause, esp to infants sharing their air.

Because yes, the back pain relation to art is definitely real. Having the drawing surface at an angle certainly helps based on what I've found, though, so you're defo on the right track! I hope you find something that works for you without causing back pain! I love seeing your art!

I have a strong tendency to turn into a banana curve when drawing unless I place whatever I'm drawing high enough up so that I'm forced to sit straighter. For traditional art, I got a drafting table that is at an ~45° angle. You could experiment with placing your tablet higher, closer to you, etc.
