iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

The critters all being able to shapeshift into each other is my personal way of interpreting the plural thing i guess, but other than Keepsake they all more or less retain their colors as themselves, whereas Keepsake is like “what if i was a sparkledog today for funsies” basically lol

030

All of these critters sorta shapeshift into each other, but essentially the self divides roughly in half and then branches off in different directions from there. Keepsake is a lil different in terms of how she relates to self and the changability of the design while still being “Keepsake” but ye 🙂‍↕️

Chicory and Crucius - these refs are old but i updated the pronouns to say “he/any” in an attempt to more accurately convey the lack of a sense of human gender for these two lol

Chicory (he/any)

Colors do not need to be exact!

Shapeshifter - can be drawn bipedal or feral. Often shifting between wolfdog and cross fox forms

Crucius (cross fox, he/any)

Coat colors do not need to be exact

Usually wearing a bandana, can be any color or pattern

Can be drawn realistically or cartoon-y

“Yippee!”

Eye color can change from brown to hazel or green

Star shaped marking on chest

Very kinetic and high energy, often in motion

Here’s Keepsake (and a few alt design versions), excited to play around with more various designs for her in the future!

Keepsake (they/she/it) “Fox”

Has the ability to shapeshift and can change the color of her pelt, her markings, etc. Keepsake is always fox-shaped but can be anthro or feral

Always retains beauty mark but placement doesn’t matter much - whatever looks best

Very self-aware about being a creation/art-form. Kind of like a living canvas?

Text same as previous image (in this image Keepsake is brown minus the darker brown markings to demonstrate flexibility of design)

Text same as previous image (in this image keepsake is pink tho)

Ok here’s the brain-creature parade starting with Coast (aka Rennwolf) who finally got an actual name and a bit of a redesign recently

Coast (they/she/it)

Pelt markings don’t need to be exact

Beauty mark placement doesn’t need to be consistent (can appear on either side)

Can have hair tuft or no hair tuft

Can be anthro or feral

Sea wolf

(Pulls out an illustrated diagram explaining what is Renn and what is Chicory) I’ll make a lil thread with the refs on here in the quotes of this post haha

A diagram showing various aspects of self & sonas. There is a plant in the middle that branches out in 2 different directions ans the text on the plant reads “always some degree of overlap between selves”

On the left the text includes various notes about entities associated with the self of “Renn”: “Coast -> aka ‘Rennwolf’” | “Keepsake (fox)” | “Mainly fronting in 2026 so far” | “girl-thing” | “They/She for vessel” | “more or less at peace with bipedal irl shape and able to enjoy things about human shape. Tends to shave their face & maintains the vessel’s hairstyle more”

On the right the text includes various notes about entities associated with the self of “Chicory”: “mainly fronted in 2025” | “Chicory (or whatever you want to call him really)” | “Crucius (cross fox)” | “ ‘he’ in the sense of how ppl tend to gender unknown wild animals by default” | “no sense of gender in human terms” | “wants 4 leg shape real bad and often discontent with bipedal “human” shape, likes moving around on 4’s. Very little regard for the vessel’s appearance”

Normalcy is a race to the bottom, a pointless act of stripping yourself of anything that makes you even slightly unique in a futile effort to appease the unappeasable

Having multiple creatures in my head makes me feel v inconsistent sometimes, trying to learn how to not view it as a bad thing since i only apply that sense of it being bad to myself (as with many other things..) which doesn’t actually make any sense lol so yeah

I have a few comm types temporarily closed for now while I catch up on my current queue, but will update once they reopen! For now I have the tip jar doodle one open (that one will most likely always be open 🤔) and I just added a listing for the Pikmin YCHs for $20

I wound up taking another month of hiatus but now I’m feeling actually recharged and ready to interact with the world again! Kind of crazy how long burnout and a rough period of mental health can take to recover from sometimes but I’m glad I had the opportunity to do so
