Composed of gold leaves and other adornments, this magnificent headdress belonged to Queen Puabi, one of the most powerful women known from ancient Mesopotamia.
Discovered in the Royal Cemetery of Ur in present-day Iraq, the burial dates to approximately 2600-2500 BC.
