To celebrate @bandcamp.com friday I’ve reduced my one sided 12 inch ep to an incredibly reasonable fiver! Don’t have loads left dimorphodons.bandcamp.com/album/search...

We reduced almost everything in our shop last Bandcamp Friday, and frankly haven't bothered to reset the prices, so feel free to buy!

#new2me26 The Genesis - A Story By The Genesis This is amazing. An unreleased (very) English concept album from 1969. Really hoping that @dimorphodons.bsky.social can chip in with the full mad story. It's very much in the S.F. Sorrow neck of the woods and deserves so much love.

The Genesis - A Story By The Genesis (Hand Of Glory Records 2025). One my cats has walked across the sleeve with muddy paws.

Thanks to @handofglory.bsky.social , @dimorphodons.bsky.social and @maryepworth.bsky.social for sending out this magnificent 7” article. Investigate and enjoy! I love that it was recorded at Jackson’s in Rickmansworth, a place I was driven past often as a kid, wishing i could look inside.

A group of 5 young men, dressed in the heighth of 60s psychedelic fashion, standing in a public park, grass underfoot, trees behind. It’s the cover of a 7” single by a band called The Genesis

Look at those threads! Apparently made by one either a friend or a mum of the band, depending who you ask, with fabric from one of Luton's Asian shops 🙌

Thanks for all your Bandcamp Purchases! I’d like to draw particular attention to this fantastic never before issued 7’ as it’s out next week. Both sides recorded in 66/7 at Jackson Studios in Rickmansworth. In another reality it came out on CBS, flopped, and sells for £150. 200 copies only!

Got distracted! Here’s the first purchase of today, from @handofglory.bsky.social - an album I’d only become acquainted with this year. Since then I’ve dig into Kiran’s work and listened to all his albums in a day. Recommended!

The sleeve of Bowler Hat Soup by Kiran Leonard. It’s an artistic album cover featuring a colourful, abstract landscape with whimsical elements, including a mountain, clouds, a house on stilts, and various abstract shapes. A sticker in the corner notes that it includes a download code because, well, it does.

Totally unheard until now (apart from a clip on ITV’s News At Ten!), these recordings showcase the band in their hard gigging mod guise, a year or two before they made history with their groundbreaking pre Tommy rock opera ‘A Story by The Genesis’.

Vinyl is sold out and we’re down to a measly 12 copies of the CD, which feels good. *May* re-press at some point but not for a few years at least, so if anyone fancies a copy, you know what to do ;)
