I read that as "funny".. and it still works.

Had the worst tournament run playing teammates early, but I am happy with my games. The wins felt fair and within my grasp. So proud of Joel making top 32 and other locals repping up to top 8. Maybe next year we will get an Aussie to the top spot! #lorcana

Great time at #DLCMelbourne 2026. The community has grown so much and the weekend had a really positive feel. Loved our team shirts, even if we looked like a local bowls club. A massive highlight was meeting Vince from @rulesofvillainy.bsky.social and adopting him into our group.

I'm honestly not often "sad" when a person I don't know personally dies, but reflecting on how Catherine O'Hara embodied so many of my favourite characters, I am genuinely sad the world has lost her. www.theguardian.com/culture/gall...

While I still haven't got myself to the #1 spot, I did make Top 8 in 5/6 of the Whispers in the Well set champs I attended with these decks. The majority were just under the 16 player mark which meant only a top 4 cut. I feel I could have made it higher paying through a top 8.

Always with the round-one bye 🥲 love the free win, hate rushing to be on time to sit around for an hour.

Update to this chart that I share a lot. Not breaking news: Game design teams are still OVERWHELMINGLY all men. About 7% of the top 500 games have a woman or non-binary person credited as a designer. A 🧵of related charts: (1/6) 🎲✂️

Gender of Game Designers: Board Game Geek Top 500, January 2025

A pie chart:
92% of the pie is Designed only by men. They made 461 of the top 500 games.
6% of the pie is Designed by a mixed-gender group. They made 28 of the top 500 games.
1% of the pie is Designed only by women or non-binary people. They made 5 of the top 500 games.

Data are for January 1, 2025, using the names in the Designer field on BGG. Not shown are 6 games in the top 500 that have uncredited designers.

Back to work after 2 weeks holiday. I love my job but when can I quit it to just play games with friends full-time?

Australia just had a federal election, where we learned the following: - Australia isn’t America, which everyone knows except the opposition - It’s possible to overcome a media landscape stuffed with U.S culture war bullshit - Compulsory voting + you get a sausage for doing it = engagement!

I think they said you can also share games online as long as you're using GameChat? There was also the thing in last week's direct about sharing digital games with users on your family plan - basically lending out a digital cart for 2 weeks
