But of course we loved Paz and truth be told I was not expecting her to turn villian BUT I LOVED IT! Also our wonderful singing weapon Chrysalis <3

~Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker ~ #HallowfallMetalGear #Spoilers In this one we went through our beloved Naked Snake coming to terms with the loss of Boss (rest in peace) as he begins to forge his path to Big Boss! The date scene was weird though...

~Weapons~ #HallowfallShows I really love the way the story was told through seeing what each of the characters were up to over the same timeline. And the subtle notes of the passage of time too such as Alex's ability to feed others soup. My fave part though was James refusing to stay down.

I loved how it brought the Warren family together and there were some really fun shots like the house fly over and spinning mirror. Mostly I loved how they brought everyone back at the end, even having the Nun's actress as a guest at the wedding. I feel they showed respect to the real Warren cases.

~The Conjuring: Last Rites~ #HallowfallShows #H+KConjurverse This is it. We finished the Conjurverse with this one. It had all the good subtle and in your face spooks, some great ones even. Though something felt just a little odd in the pacing of the family's story.

Both the background and the full art piece in this style of yours is absolutely gorgeous!

This kinda thing always hits so much harder than you expect. I'm glad you're trying to take care of yourself, thats honestly a huge step. Know that you've got your furry friends to lean on <3

Got woken up at 3:30am with a tummy ache, couldn't mentally switch off to go back to sleep. Its now 5:40am and I need to get ready for work. I feel soooo not okay. Help.

~Midnight Mass~ #HallowfallShows OMG THIS SERIES. I WATCHED IT ALL THIS WEEKEND AND OMG I LOVED IT. The way the story was told, the story itself, URGH YESSS. The way the second last episode ended in the church with the townspeople and the 'angel'. Spooks without getting too spooky, but bloody.

~The Conjuring: Devil Made Me Do It~ #HallowfallShows #H+KConjurverse So far this has now taken my top spot. Once again loved but was so creeped out by the real tape recording at the end. But also loved how this took a different path to the other conjurings while still feeling a part of it all.

~Clinical~ #HallowfallShows So please check trigger warnings before watching this just in case as it hit some things pretty hard. Was an okay watch for me, enjoyed the way it came together in the end.

~The Conjuring 2~ #HallowfallShows #H+KConjurverse Back to the mainline movies now for the end. This was gooood. I love that while we have Valak, we are still getting other spooks in it such as The Crooked Man. The painting scene was great too!! But the real tapes in the credits... fuck...

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Bonus part: there was some cuties in it for sure that I need to squee about. Axel is just so wonderful! I love his story and interactions. Saïx is for sure my fave of the Organisation XIII (excluding Axel) AND OMG RIKU UMMMM YESSS FOR DESIGN GLOW UP!!! (Though he was my crush as a kid anyway)

~Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days~ #Hallowfallgames So with the remake there is no game to play just cutscenes and little text fill ins. Again one I'd not gone through in the series but so very needed for connecting with these characters and learning their place in it all. Has me so excited to start KH2.

~Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories~ #Hallowfallgames I'll be real... I did not get far in this one before it just became too much of a struggle for me. So I technically didn't finish it BUT I watched all 3 hours of cutscenes! Soooo good I never knew all this lore! (just fuck the combat)

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

~The Curse of La Llorona~ #HallowfallShows #H+KConjurverse The background spooks were starting to come back in this one. Rafael had me giggling with the deadpan responses to everything. Overall enjoyed the story and flow.

~Annabelle Comes Home~ #HallowfallShows #H+KConjurverse Even without our personal scary story that occured while watching this movie oh boy did it hit right with the spooks. It had good vibes and loved the way it showcased the other demonic items kept in the house. The Ferryman was soooo well done!!

This was honestly a full creepy experience. Especially hearing Poe growl at the tv (He only growls of he thinks people are coming into the house, very protective Cat) 10/10 Spooky experience. Look forward to the Nightmares.

022

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Neither of us can explain any of it. Link and Poe (our other boy) have both returned and are acting normal. Soo... hopefully everything will be okay despite my spine tingles and unease. Have a bonus pic of Link with the Annabelle Comes Home credits in the background from right after all this.

010

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

We cant recall exactly when during the time it was but at some point Kirbs had called out for them but they'd not come, which they typically do when we are cozy in bed. Like Link is ALWAYS in right up against or ontop of one of us.

110

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

That's when it fully hit me. Neither of the cats had returned to the room that entire time Annabelle was out of the case. I'd been semi keeping an eye on the door to the room throughout the movie due to the creepy feeling and not once had I seen them even go past.

110

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Finally we draw close to the end of the movie and the girls are fighting to get Annabell back in the glass box... I swear to you... The second that key turned and Annabelle was once more contained, THAT EXACT MOMENT... Link was at the side of the bed giving a small meow and nuzzling my hand.

110

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Yep at the exact same time the movie stopped casting from Kirb's phone. We began to recast the movie going back just a minute or so which was when it hit us what just happened. Now at this point the real world concern started to get stronger. We still kept watching...

110

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Kirbs gets up to check outside just incase but nothing, so we go back to watching the movie, a little on edge but okay. Then came the scene where Judy was watching the TV eating pizza. The TV turns off in the movie and in that same moment ours goes black before showing the home screen....

110

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

But the scene plays where Daniella opens the door to Annabelle's box and half a split second before the alarm sounds, our other cat growls (something he only ever does when a stranger comes up to our front door), and Link looks panicked before scampering out of the room scared. Just both cats gone.

110

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Now note he's had no reaction to any of the first 5 movies in the Conjurverse, nor any other movies we've watched and I do love me some spooky ones...

110

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

So I'll do my proper post about the movie in the morning but OMG we just watched Annabelle Comes Home and actual creepy fucking shit happened... So Kirbs and I were watching it in bed and the cats are normally always in with us getting cuddles when we do, especially my boy Link.

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Absolutely my fave part was getting to run around as a heartless and my fave outfit change was the Nightmare Before Christmas set.

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

~Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix~ #Hallowfallgames This was such a huge childhood game series for me that left it's mark on my soul. I still sob like a baby at the ending. I however hate all the bullshit extra hard enemies added making synthesis grinding hard, I gave up on that part. ON TO THE NEXT!!

120

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

~The Conjuring~ #HallowfallShows #H+KConjurverse Finally up to the one that started it all. Ooohhh it's soo goood. Yes it also doesn't have the background sneaky spooks BUT it does the tense looming dread throughout the whole thing sooo goood!! The clap clap game, the circus music box, THE TREEEE <3

010

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

Like I didn't feel that slow tension in this, the subtle background spooks lingering in the shadows. It was just all jolts of scare. But again this came out pretty early so they might not have found that stride yet. I still enjoyed it but it didn't stick at all in my head.

000

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 27/08/2026

~Annabelle~ #HallowfallShows #H+KConjurverse I forgot we watched this one, then couldn't remember it without a lot of help from Kirbs. While I know this was released early in the set of films it just... I don't know... didn't feel like it belonged spook wise? Not bad, just different to the previous.

100

Alissca @hallowfall.bsky.social · 26/08/2026

This one hurts. Rocky Horror was my childhood and so ingrained in me on a cellular level to this day. His voice in Fern Gully gives me chills. I still meme SPACE anytime there's a chance. And no matter what he was in he was always smashing! I'm thankful he is finally at peace but fuck it hurts...
