In my case, what I wanted was for them to stop doing the thing they did. As far as I know, they haven't - how I feel about that belongs to me, and me alone. It is however -my- want and -my- feeling and -my- experience and -my- life, and I would curse anyone taking that from me again.

A decade ago I was emotionally and psychologically abused by someone to the point of a complete mental breakdown, and pushed to suicidality. The experience of that has altered the course of my life, and right now I am dealing with severe issues directly related to the effect that had on me.
