This is some cool video game stuff. I could do with less of the camera shake/shudder/jitter nonsense, but it has a retro charm www.youtube.com/watch?v=qI5W...

Today I learned about a band with a bit of a Queens of the Stone Age vibe, called Anime Titties. Today I also learned that it is a difficult band to search for on the internet, so here, have a song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkYw...

Rolled credits on Predator: Badlands, and really enjoyed it. Cool to get some more story on the hunters and their culture, and there's one great fight sequence where the choreo really... has legs.

Depends on the context. A lot of games felt like actual magic to me. Commnder Keen's Vorticon alphabet, Monkey Island's insult sword fighting, KQ5's stunning graphics on a computer amongst a row of CGA, Warcraft 2's ultra realistic cutscenes, Noctropolis' FMV characters, or just BEING Garrett.

Reminds me of Hale & Pace's "mate" bit from Their Down Under tour three thousand years ago. (from 7min - also I am astounded this is online, and it's aged about as well as you think) youtu.be/Qg2VZZtQi3c?...

Lies of P publisher has filed a trademark for "Wonders of O", which one would infer is for Oz, as in the Wizard of, given the end of Lies of P. I'm interested to know what they'll call the upgrade system in this sequel. In Lies of P, you had the P-Organ. In Wonders of O, I assume... O-Face?

Sure sounds like a sequel to me.

the best thing about this is how it doesn't mess with the proper pronunciation

Forgot to update: this was great. The pickle loaded chips were great. The pickle burger was great. The pickle ranch was excellent. The fried pickles were phenomenal. The pickle brine in a pepsi was just okay. I could eat this every day. 10/10

We send the first issue of CONTINUE to print this Monday. Pulling it together has brought me so much joy and -- sorry -- but I think the magazine fucking **rules**. We have so many cool stories, so much glorious art. I cannot wait for you all to see it. 🙏

Having started my Metallica journey with Load, the first time I played Kill 'Em All, I stopped my discman (look it up) popped the lid, took the CD out, and checked that it was, in fact, labelled "Metallica".

Does anyone know how to select "all of the above"?

A clickbait headline reading: "4 1990s cartoons every 80s kid loved but are virtually unwatchable now", with a picture of the kids from captain planet.

A screenshot of the options when you select the "report this" option on the news feed item. Options read: misleading or sensational, violent or repulsive, hateful or abusive, intrusive or too personal, and other.

See the joke is I watched and loved captain planet as a kid so I'm obviously offended by the suggestion that it's unwatchable now so I want to report this under every possible violation available.

No I haven't read the article. I bet it's something stupid like "virtually unwatchable" meaning you virtually can't watch them because they aren't on any streaming platform. It's the kind of moronic clickbait headline to content shift I see all the time now. Like "new bloodborne coming next month!" And it's like, a patch for a mod for a PC conversion or something equally misleading.

This shit should be illegal.

Quick click request: It's analytics week in my writing class. If a few of you would click this link to show that Bluesky is a referrer, that'd be GREAT! Even better if you'd open a story or two. Just want to show some stats to students! wotw.netstudies.org

First night I haven't had to look after kids in like a year. Went out, had some nice Japanese food, and saw Labyrinth on the big screen with a live band. It was nice remembering you can use your life to do fun stuff. Recommend this performance if you get the chance, by the way.

Only 90 billion in revenue for the quarter. They can't afford to keep giving the 4 people who use game streaming unlimited hours.

I had to wrap my printer like it's a vehicle from The Walking Dead or Mad Max, because the cat keeps jumping on it and has printed like 250 pages of absolute trash somehow.

Having finally gotten through opening night and future games presentations, all I have to say is there are a lot of very cool looking games in the works, and I'm excited to play at least two of them.

Successful CPU upgrade on the Alienware steam machine! I should probably run some games and check it doesn't die.
