Dang it. @scott.hanselman.com shamed our team on the credential manager [UI] in Windows. He built a better version of it. We should ship it. github.com/shanselman/C... Remind me to tell the story of our Garage project to ship a full password manager a few years back.

Looking to attend BSidesTC this Oct 23 for the first time with my non-technical wife, any advice for a first timer who was hired out of high school by Apple as a infosec L2 engineer, gray hatted Microsoft and Xbox before that, has since learned DevOps and now augments infosec with machine learning?

In today's One Dev Question, Amanda Silver reflects on joining Microsoft in 2001 during the early days of .NET and how her first project, writing the P/Invoke interoperability specification, shaped her understanding of managed runtimes, APIs, and dev platforms. 🎥 msft.it/63326a91Er

WINSTART.BAT wasn’t a Win95 quirk — it’s a Windows 3.1 feature. 😄 It runs after DOS + AUTOEXEC.BAT but before the Windows kernel, letting you load TSRs that apply only to Windows programs. A tiny but clever VM‑era optimization. 👉 buff.ly/nk8n0c2

MSBuild binlog viewer downloads have fallen off the cliff since ~March: msbuildlog.com/stats/ My interpretation is that AI is solving MSBuild issues, as well as less and less people using MSBuild. Also hopefully modern MSBuild and SDK is more pit of success.
