I was unable to schedule a flu/covid vaccination appointment before we left on our vacation. Came back with 101.4F fever, muscle aches, exhaustion, and my skin hurts. Yay. So that’ll be another few days/weeks before I get in, as I don’t want to schedule the vacc until I’m mostly well.

Years ago I started collecting author signatures for a book-themed quilt I would one day make. Finally started embroidering over the signatures …. like 15 years after I got them. So congrats, @laurierking.bsky.social , yours was the first to be embroidered! There’s hope for a quilt yet!

The corpse flower at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo did not disappoint. Hie thee forth to the zoo to see it, if you’re local!

I’ve seen a lot of cool hallways in response to this article, but few can live up to the creepy, endless liminality of a large cruise ship passageway. They go on forever, the artwork is the same on every deck (just shuffled in order, for maximum creep factor), and someone could pop out at any time.
