#SNP Gov should Reform Council Tax so that rich pay far more to live in their mansions. South #Edinburgh has hugh hooses from Newington to Morningside, several the size of hotels. £408 a ticket Middle & Upper class folks who have money to burn. Rock fans or mugs? I saw #TheWho, Little Feat, Sensational Alex Harvey band at Celtic Park in #Glasgow & many other bands in 1 day in 1976 for £4. I call that a bargain the best I ever had. When #EastKilbride had its own EK District Council & Development Corporation from 1947-1995, it was much better off then, than from 1996 to present, under control of South Lanarkshire Council. Who knows what local government in #Scotland will look like after #SNP reforms? More centralisation?

Oct. 4, 1926: A dust explosion kills 32 coal miners in Tennessee. The disaster deep in the Roane Iron Co.'s Rockwood No. 2 mine occurs at 9:30 a.m. in a poorly ventilated shaft that's ignited by an unknown spark. Many of the victims succumb to afterdamp, a toxic gas buildup following the blast.

Sassanachs is a Gaelic word first used to describe Saxons who live in Saxony ,Lowland Scotland; Lowlanders. Only later it was used by some Scots to refer to Saxons south of the Tweed. #Scotland

Not that simple. In 1960s & 1970s when Scots senior citizens in 2026, enjoyed their youth, listening to The Who, Beatles, 10cc, Clash; the vast majority had British identity. To be #SNP & Scottish Nationalist then, was for a very strange small minority. Then 1970s North Sea Oil & Thatcher happened.
