Four massive games in the last three and a half weeks and Celtic have not only lost them all but the performances have been utterly abysmal. Still top of the league though, so don’t expect any fan opinions to change in some quarters despite back to back defeats to Rangers.

VAR has done more in this game than the ref has had touches (and he’s had a few) and there’s only five minutes. The self proclaimed best league in the world with all the sky cameras and full proper VAR somehow still has officials on a par with Scotland using it.

Watched the 20 part Tom Hanks WWII series. Somehow wasn’t long enough as it skipped over so many things. Did learn some things I didn’t know previously. Frightening how many people didn’t just go along with what was happening but actively cheered it. Then you put the news on. We’ve learned nothing.

Another problem with signing players so late on in the transfer window. Not only have they not had a pre-season with us, there’s now no time to work on the training ground with them because of the incessant weekend-midweek-weekend schedule of games. The only break from them is international break!

This is precisely why I wouldn’t advocate for its removal. It has levelled the playing field somewhat to account for dodgy officiating. But yesterday it mysteriously wasn’t working at all at Ibrox while it was questionably used to take two goals off Celtic. How is that sporting integrity?

One goal ruled out for offside where every live angle showed he was level but then a still taken several frames earlier and can't see the ball rules it out. One goal ruled out by the ref going to look at a wonky angle offside when the linesman had a better view and VAR bizarrely couldn't draw lines.

It’s amazing how many people don’t understand the rules on the Europa league squad. We need a quota of home grown players in it. If Celtic’s academy was worth anything these days it wouldn’t be an issue, but it’s not, hence players brought in need to sit it out. Buying from the SPFL would also help.

As for the SFA punishment, don’t see how that independent report justified a home fixture closure for Celtic. Celtic’s concerns about the fixture were ignored by those organising it .The turnstiles issues were a bought off steward. The pitch invasion attackers came from the home support.

If Rangers can give Celtic a minimum allocation for reasons of safety after the cup game in March, Celtic can refuse to send their staff to Ibrox for the same reason. There’s a whole independent report that highlights Rangers inability to organise the fixture in conjunction with stewards and police.
