We'll have to disagree, yes. I am not sure how you come to the conclusion of elitism when I mention I spent all that extra time making the game easier post launch so it was more inclusive. I also produced an even easier Xmas Special version later on. That is the detail/nuance I speak of.

The whole point of me writing this comment on discord was to provide context as to why I felt I needed to make the easy mode on FITS even easier. So that more casual players could enjoy my game! When asked if it could be turned into an article, I agreed. I would ask you see the nuance in that.

Also, those quotes you pulled are not intended to be an attack on any player in any way, they state what I believe to be the mainstream trend of game design over time, generally. Player tastes change and im not saying anyone should feel bad for wanting an easy mode.

Okay. All this was a comment I made on a discord server that was my opinion. I was talking about my design choices when developing Feed IT Souls, a game that specifically pushes back against passive easy gameplay. I have also made casual games coz I like them, too.

I'm not saying low skill games or players that onky want casual fun are inherently bad. I'm pointing out that naturally people's tastes align with whatever they consume, and if hard games don't sell as well as easy games, then what is on offer trends away from high difficulty generally speaking.

Man, i got diagnosed with ADHD 2 years ago and last year ASD. 100% with you on this. Thanks heaps for streaming FITS: DOME on friday. I watched a bunch of it tonight and will finish watching tomorrow (had to stop and fix some bugs once I saw them in your playthrough after panicking 😅)
