new angel design! Resplendant is a great angel with a floral motif that has existed only in my notes previously, and was needing some art! #OC #OCsky #OC-tober #art #characterdesign #worldbuilding

digital grayscale painting of a weird angel with a very long neck and four headwings. Its eyes are covered by leaflike ornamentation, and it has a second face with open eyes at the center of its body. The lower half of its body is without legs and shaped like a plant root, and it has two long arms and wings on its back that extend down past the root

New character finished at last! Anzolo, the weird medieval guy. He's a demon in the form of a bronze lion who tempts alchemists with the offer of secret knowledge, but mostly makes deals so he can mooch off of them #oc #ocsky #characterart #refsheet #art #characterdesign #creaturedesign

Character reference sheet for Anzolo, the green lion. On the lower left of the page is a green lion based on medieval lion art. He has a long neck and strange human-like face, stubby legs with wavy tufts of fur, and a long tail. On the right he is baring his teeth and holding a flamberge, and also has wings. In the upper left he is sitting upright with a menacing wide-eyed expression, holding a red stone in one hand, and in the other a black-paged grimoire whose cover is yellow with a stylized eclipse on it. Both wings are spread and he has a large, eclipse-like halo behind his head. In the upper right is the color palette reference: red, yellow, green, brownish green, and brown. Also in the upper right are images of his eyes, which have red irises and a gold ring around the puil

I was also craving these a while back, so I learned how to make them myself. It's not super trivial, but it's not too hard either. Mostly I cannot figure out how to shape them into the nice pretzel knot, but they taste great

Two mixed media paintings on black paper of the same concept: an overgrown crescent moon. The one on the left is green with tiny mushrooms growing on top and little glowing blue spheres hanging off the bottom. The moon on the right is deep blue with tentacle-like glowing mushrooms growing on top and little yellow stars hanging off the bottom.

Why is there always this implicit assumption of aspiring authorship? I'm not a novelist and never will be. Maybe it's different for artists. I wanted to tie together some of my art into something larger instead of solely creating isolated pictures. The disrespect for worldbuilding as a hobby irks me

1141

Gryffoon @gryffoon.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

It pains me greatly how much of the discourse around worldbuilding is just deriding it as an indulgent waste of time for people who aren't good enough to tell a character-driven story. When I'm looking for discussion and 80% of the times the word pops up it's people shitting on it....ugh

Playing with ideas. Bring on Team Tetra's mothers! Introducing Ish'nara, Natalynne, Oanna, and Z̶̤͝u̴͚̽r̷̝͝i̴͖͊-̵̺̄S̴̖̕o̶̰̐f̴̡̄ḯ̶̩ ̵͚̐R̸̡͐e̸͕̍u̴̯̇ĺ̴͓e̵̺͊s̴̥͊. Mothers to Derrek, Clive, Farius, and Blake respectively. 🎨 #Spiritcaller #EternalRPG #ArtPH #OC #OCArt #OCSky

In a brown room, we see Ish'nara, Natalynne, Oanna, and Zuri standing beside one another.

Ish'nara is an elder orc standing around six feet tall. Despite her age, she is well muscled. Her skin is dark green and her tusks are protruding out of her mouth. Brown braids with white streaks hang down from either side of her face. The rest of her hair is under a cloth veil of brown, red, and orange with a yellow headband. A dark cropped top peeks out beneath a brown overcoat that is held on with a single button. Her brown skirt reaches down to her knees and her sash has a long striped piece that reaches her calves. Her feet are clad in leather shoes.

Natalynne is an elf standing over seven feet tall. Her blond hair is braided and wraps around her head. She wears a red renaissance style dress and brown heeled bots under her skirt.

Oanna is a purple dragonborn who easily stands over eight feet tall upon her digitigrade feet before one counts her massive wings with lavender webbing. Her dark magenta horns swoops back and matches her magenta claws. Her ears are webbed and matches her wings and her snout is stubby, yet still obviously draconian. Heavy scales line her arms, legs, and tail. She is wearing a green halter dress under a pink apron with heart buttons.

Zuri is a red cambion. Her leathery wings are far shorter in scale compared to Oanna's. Her feet end in pig-like trotters. At the end of her slender tail is a heart-shaped tip. Her magenta horns sweep and curl backwards. In sharp contrast, her light lavender hair hangs long and loose. She is wearing a short black halter dress.

Against a purple feathered backdrop, we see Team Tetra and Company.

Standing from left to right, we see Farius, Blake, Ashiru, Leondra, Shenorai, Clive, and Derrek.

Farius is a purple drakkin with a long tail, stunted wings, and slender horns protruding back out of his ruddy red hair. He wears a red cropped shirt under a black leather vest. He wears gray cargo pants and leather 'boots' for his digitigrade feet.

Blake is a red tiefling with magenta horns that curl back over his ruddy red hair that is tied back. He wears a gray shirt and dogtags under a brown leather jacket. His slender tail juts out from his taupe pants, ending in a heart shape. He wears heeled brown biker boots and is smoking a cigarette.

Ashiru is a white-haired human wearing denims over his green button up and white tee shirt.
He is leaning upon Shenorai, who is a dark-haired human. She wears black underneath a red tailcoat. Metal caps adorn her calf-high boots.
Behind the two of them is a winged spectre. We can make out golden wings, rose red hair, tapered ears, a green halter top with sleeves, and brown leggings tucked into her knee-high boots.

Clive is a half-elf with his ruddy red hair swept to one side. He wears a white long-sleeved shirt under his brown-gray vest and pants. His calf-high boots have a lot of straps. His gloved hands are adorned with gold and silver jewelry, acting as a conduit for the magic he is emitting.

Derrek is a half-orc. He wears a maroon shirt with a streak of fire across his chest. His dark gray biker jacket matches his skull cap covering his ruddy red hair. He has small tusks poking out of his mouth and a goatee. Brown pants are tucked into big biker boots.
