Finally calling this done! Very happy with this, for how long it's been since I've done a full scale piece like this. Now, whether it's reproducible or if this was dumb luck remains to be seen 😂 #art #oc

A redheaded, freckled demon girl stands against a dark blue-to-gray gradient background in a revealing white open-midriff dress and matching leg and arm stockings, adorned with fancy jewelry.

Did a lil doodling tonight after work, really low energy but felt like grabbing a pencil brush and sketching out a bit, wanted to try some new ideas in my process. Happy with it, for as rough as it is, though it's far from perfect. (I also said f-it on the tail and horns, too lazy lmao) #art #oc

Rough pseudo-pencil digital sketch woman standing in short shorts, a windowed top, and thigh-high socks with a sideshave hair cut, pointed ears, and dark sclera

So a major problem I'm having since I started drawing again is that I have so many ideas and stuff that I wanna tinker with and comparably little time and energy, and I find myself torn between actually seeing things through to being finished or just doing a bunch of half-done doodles

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 08/03/2025

Already started working on something else, I think it's gonna be quite the contrast to the last piece I made LOL #art #oc

Got multiple options, can't decide on a variant, might just combine mid + right for MAXIMUM STYLE #art

Multiple, edited duplicate examples of a woman with horns and a spade tail standing in a revealing dress and heels. The left one is fairly basic, the middle features added arm and leg stockings, and the far right features additional jewelry across her body, most prominently a necklace

Sketchy thumbnail for something I'm working on. It's weird to be working back in 2D, I'm rusty as hell and everything feels weird! #art #OC

Black and white sketch of a long-haired woman with horns and a tail in a revealing dress and high heels, adorned with jewelry

Few shots of a character model I did for @thehollowedart.bsky.social's character as part of a secret santa trade on a mutual Discord server. The rig came out a bit rougher than I'm truly happy with but all in all, I'm rather satisfied with it. Hopefully he enjoys it too! :D #Blender #lowpoly

Wow, buncha folks liked that last Blender art. Good news! I've got something new coming up within the next few days, and a few secondary projects in the pipeline aside that! The holidays have been a bit hectic and that's kind of eaten into productivity but it's getting better slowly.

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 05/12/2024

So over my weekend I took some time to dig into Blender and learn some low-poly character modeling. It's got some issues (holy shoulder deformation Batman!) but for a first-model I'm super happy with it! #Blender #lowpoly

Man I've been at a total loss as to what to actually post on here, I've done a lot of fictional aircraft designs lately (largely with Flyout) but I don't think they're the kind of thing people really have an interest in? Like, they're not OCs but they're still original content/part of a thing

Seen this around enough so you know what, I'll bite too. Make me run out of oc's or get into the old, obscure ones, go on I dare you--

I had like 20 minutes of time to draw, and with ibuprofen desperately fighting my migraine, I decided to doodle something stupid. This is the result. I think this counts as chibi? Maybe? I don't know. Look man, I just work here. #oc #art

A low detail chibi-esque depiction of a woman with mischievous energy in shorts and a tee-shirt. She is depicted saying "Boobs! >:D", including the emoji, somehow.

Anyone else sometimes feel like this?

Some things never change. First time drawing in ages and right like clockwork, people suddenly need shit every fifteen minutes *slams head on desk*

000

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 30/10/2024

Messing around with doing some drawing again and, well, a few month(?) hiatus hasn't dulled my skills any. I don't feel like that's saying much but I'll take not feeling like I gotta relearn which way to hold the stylus lol

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 30/10/2024

One of the most crippling problems from not having drawn in ages: "...where the fuck's my drawing glove? ._."

Today was a fruitful day! I solved some hardware problems with my PC, ultimately coming down to flashing the BIOS to a newer version, but I've fixed some very long-standing glitches I couldn't pin down!

So it's a bit of an odd one, but this character sheet was doing the rounds at one point and I made one out for Em. I was going to do one for my other OCs but kind of just... fell off. Template's by @cparrisart.bsky.social, should check 'em, they do good stuff. #oc

Aaaand I think that's everything for this batch. Anything else I have that I like is probably a little closer to the NSFW line than I want to toe right now - still feeling the waters ou on Bluesky for such things.

010

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

Lilly being a lil shit, as per usual. I think this was one of the rare non-mannequin ones where the anatomy was only a minor trainwreck and not a total one /lh #art #oc

Demon girl faces the camera with a "ehh?" gesture and a shit-eating grin.

040

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

I have a bit of a soft spot for this one, even if I wish it was executed better. I imagine that, despite being a competent communicator, Em still sometimes has trouble communicating her feelings. When you're vastly older than everyone around you, some things don't come easy.

A demon girl stands, flustered, struggling to communicate.

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

Of course, the shirt. There was no way I couldn't do this one, though the absolutely crap folding and cloth depiction in general hurts me. Not that I could do better now; fabric and clothing is one of those things I never quite got before I stopped drawing much. #art #oc

A demon girl flips the camera off, while holding a pansexual pride flag and wearing a prominent shirt; the shirt has "pride month" written down the front five times, while the text color changes to emphasize the "de mon" in the middle

020

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

Three pose-spread of Em, drawn off the CSP mannequins. I almost scrubbed these altogether 'cuz I didn't quite like them - esp the face on the middle pose, eugh - but ultimately, kinda gotta take what you get sometimes. #art #oc

Three poses of a drawn woman, from left to right:
-Standing and holding the bridge of her nose in exasperation from something on her phone.
-Now in a demonic form, sitting on her coiled tail like a chair, playing a games console in her lap.
-Back in the human form, standing angrily and glowering at the viewer.

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

Gonna do another batch of old art, might be smaller. This time I'm going to include alt text, since that seems to be helpful for folks and there's a push to make sure more content has it. Wheee!

000

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 25/10/2024

Last night, I had a very vivid dream... about refusing service to a rude customer at work. What in the hell is my life coming to? All the subject matter in our imagination and THAT'S what you went with, brain?😅

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 24/10/2024

I'm really thinking about not putting the bluesky app on my phone, so I'm not inclined to check it constantly. That way I can pop on and be surprised by whatever volume of notifications (including none) I've accrued throughout the day

Having OCs is fabulous. One minute you’re daydreaming about them doing something they love and having fun with it, and the next you’re mentally slamming them into each other like kitbashed Barbie dolls in the hands of children who are trying to imitate Jersey Shore.

After a from-scratch restart and several hours of work, my shitposty #NuclearOption video is done and uploaded. I'll be setting it live tomorrow morning with a matching post here!

Spent over two hours working on a video project today only for the editor's splitting tool to glitch out, which promptly corrupted the project file. Two and a half hours of editing work, entirely unrecoverable. Cool, guess I'm not using Kdenlive again.

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 23/10/2024

Ok, I'm gonna stop spamming old art for now, I think. I'll probably go through my body of work and pick out some other stuff for another batch at some other time. Hope y'all enjoy!

Another pre-CSP mannequins one, Lilly doing her best to bullshit innocence. She's lying through her teeth ofc, but you gotta respect the effort. #art #oc

121

Grox @groxglitch.bsky.social · 23/10/2024

This was a four pose spread of Lilly I did, about the time I started experimenting with CSP's built in mannequins in earnest. In some regards it felt like cheating but DAMN did it help with anatomy a lot. #oc #art
