Today's I feel good and can handle being an adult moment. Got the projector hung! Now for the hard part of running wires.

Sooo. This past weekend consisted of some creative backyard chemistry along with some internet research. I am now free from the dreaded check engine light and have an even deeper understanding of engine management systems now

The foundation here is sinking or having some major issues as evidenced by the crazy cracks forming. Gotta replace those crappy screw jacks with something better

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 10/09/2026

oh no. Bottom rusted out. And a lot of them are like that. Plus a lot of them are skewed too

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 30/08/2026

Want to make and bring a poke suit for sure to an event like this in the future. Also ran into 2 partial suiters, a flygon and a goodra. Anyone know who these wonderful pokemon are?

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 30/08/2026

Even w/o a ticket, so glad I hit up pokemon worlds/XP & explored SF. Lots of PoGo, raids that filled up instantly. Fans of all ages. The entirety of SF, lots without tickets, just having an absolute blast. Rocked an Arcanine hoodie earlier & a Greninja kigu w/ huge totodile plush once it got cooler

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 29/08/2026

The old gotcha PoGo auto catcher is alive again! Almost looks like I'm making...well...but I just converted it to run on an 18650 battery vs the very dead internal cell that had no capacity to begin with. Figure it'll last for days at this point.

Made this guy before I found furry.

010 1

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 28/07/2026

Ah. Gotcha. Guess I'm still not the best at IDing birdies. Here are my pair.

020 2

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 28/07/2026

The wood finish is also...well...finished. Definitely needs some love.

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 28/07/2026

Wait.........that's not cool. Why....just why....

380 8

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 28/07/2026

Oh. Cool. The free coffee table has a drawer on it. But it's super stuck and won't open...

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 03/07/2026

Ok. Who dis? Just saw them in Concord. That's definitely a BD sticker

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 20/06/2026

Also, fun FB marketplace free find yesterday. 40w computerized cauterizer & retina burner aka a laser engraver/cutter. Needs cleaning & a controller board but otherwise complete with working laser. Already starting to get fun things for the garage. Now just need a vinyl cutter & a 3d printer upgrade

I hate waiting for packages. Said today earlier. Now says tomorrow. It's in Oakland. UPS needs to load it on the truck.

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 15/06/2026

Oh bsky. Help me ID these birds. Bonus birb pics from @galacticcamp.bsky.social a few weeks back.

YASSS! I just dragged this soft friend home from overseas recently.

Hey. No animals allowed. At least officially. I'm sure @caltrain.com might make an exception this time :)

Any friends with a plex server. Looks like plex is bumping the price of lifetime plex pass again. By a lot. Up to $750 X_X anyone on my server I've already got lifetime plex pass so free to stream my content. For now anyways.

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 19/05/2026

Oh hecc yeah. Mines been on many adventures and still going strong. Handful of upgrades too. Do you have a limited? I see the 17" limited trim wheels but dunno if those were an upgrade

110 1

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

I have ram at home too. A lot of it.

020 2

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

Also have 19 of these new in plastic. Dunno why I have em or where they came from but I guess I kept them around for a reason.

020 2

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

Also in the pile of cool old stuff. A pair of SGI 1600SW monitors. One of them an engineering sample too. And the Number Nine Revolution IV vid cards to drive them. Pretty sure I posted about these in the distant past. And pretty sure I got them from @scoutfox.bsky.social a good number of years ago

2175 17

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

With ram at the prices they are at now, wonder how much these would fetch. I'm sure I can find at least one retro protogen who would be interested.

252 5

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

Ok. I think this'll do a better job at vrchat. I mean, it has a whole 64kb of VRAM

330 3

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

I also found a super cool, super inefficient heater. I'll at least be toasty this winter. At the expense of a huge power bill

5120 12

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

Also found this gem. Wonder if it'll run vrchat

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 09/05/2026

I found 10 more, brand new box, tapes in plastic wrap still. Tons of random stuff going through old stuff at my parents. @loranskunky.bsky.social @duke.hyena.zone

5110 11

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 16/04/2026

And some brand new boxes of floppies. Unwritten. (I forgot to take pics of the 3.5 inch ones)

040 4

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 16/04/2026

Also found some random old betamax tapes. Hooray for no copyright protection. :P

140 4

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 16/04/2026

Going through some old stuff earlier. I have like 25 of these. Brand new. In plastic wrap.

Decided to bring Koholint with me to Taiwan this time. @allpuffed.bsky.social handsome boy in Taiwan. Tagging in replies.

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 12/04/2026

This hood. Grabbed from Twitter cause I couldn't find on bsky. @rubberpaws.bsky.social but REALLY wish I was able to get one when they were still available T_T

130 3

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 12/04/2026

I found the magical corner.

120 2

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 11/04/2026

You've gotta get photos under the streets in Taiwan. There these surreal cyberpunk like malls

120 2

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 11/04/2026

He is! though I thought some of the other transit cards were more fun

120 2

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 11/04/2026

Sooooo. Taiwan had a pickle Rick transit card.

230 3

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 10/04/2026

You gotta give them some more love.

020 2

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 10/04/2026

They also had themed 7-11s one of which I had to seek out cause I'm still big into pokemon. I hope you enjoy your trip! Have fun and keep sending pics <3

010 1

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 05/04/2026

Interesting. But doesn't quite scratch the stinky tofu itch. It gets like 50% of the way there though. Also not stinky enough to scare away (or attract) people around me.

130 3

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 02/04/2026

A metro hotel? Why you do this to me taipei?

160 6

Groggy @groggy.catshark.dad · 02/04/2026

I get what this public service announcement is about but...if I had a werewolf chasing me or getting super close to me...I don't think I'd necessarily be upset. Also. FIRST bus I've seen in taiwan without a check engine light lit!

Found some more furry stickers while exploring JuiFen old street up in the mountains. I know the deer is @kiba.bsky.social the other few I spotted, not so sure. Maybe some Japanese or other SEA or EA area furs? Ping me if any look familiar. Of course had to add mine to a few places too.
