"We are in danger of producing an educated proletariat. That's dynamite!"
Later in the 1970s, Roger Freeman — a key educational adviser to Nixon then working for the reelection of California governor Ronald Reagan — spelled out quite precisely what the conservative counter attack was aimed at preventing: "We are in danger of producing an educated proletariat. That's dynamite! We have to be selective on the we allow to go through higher education. If not we will have a large number of highly trained and unemployed people." The two most menacing institutional sources of the same described by Freeman were obviously those two great public university systems charging no tuition: the University of California and the City University of New York. Governor Reagan was able to wipe out free tuition at the University of California.

If #AERA2027 is being held in Toronto, Canada… Can a future AERA be held in México City? Especially with the theme being about transcending borders. Or what is the rationale to hosting it in a city that excludes undocumented scholars, faculty, and students or anyone without access to a passport?

How are we supposed to teach knowing there are students who deem us enemies because we believe in humanity and love? How do we do our jobs while wondering which students think we (the enemies) should be felled (definition: to cut, knock, or bring down; kill)?
For the past 60 years, and especially in the past decade, our nation has come under invasion from the masses of the third world and those incompatible with Western civilization. Now, the current administration, as duly elected by its people to do so, has taken a stand against this invasion. Even in the light of fraud in Minnesota have radical, un-American, and treasonous few decided to side instead with the invaders, the enemies of the American people. They have disrupted and violently obstructed the lawful operations of the federal government. Traitors such as Alex Pretti and Renee Nicole Good had voided their liberties the moment they decided they were above the law and the popular opinion. It is, has, and always will be the mandate of our brave public servants, domestic and abroad, to fell the enemies of the United States of America. Illini Republicans-—-wholeheartedly and absolutely-stands with ICE, CBP, and may God bless all fighting for a better tomorrow.
