one of the first time I ever went out in public in girlmode when I was like 19, I got catcalled twice in one day… 🫂

grim 👻✨ @grimdarksparkles.standingintheodds.com · 31/07/2026

ugh. wanted to do at least one more phase for safari overtime over the last few days, really hoping to get another rhyhorn this year. but hella stressful IRL stuff has been going down and I have zero energy for hunting or editing. the safari vid might be later than I’d hoped. send good vibes plz

note: we did get sunburn, but not til way after this was recorded. the reason we look like that is bc bsky’s video processing is terrible

spoilers: no one got any shinies, but we did see a lotta cool anermals

had a rough few days so I didn’t do as much safari as I would’ve liked. BUT today I did a decent amount of hunting while at the zoo with @fishwhiskerz.standingintheodds.com and it was so much fun!!! 10/10 everyone should hunt in public with their friends

had my single luckiest day of shiny hunting ever. I found *and caught* THREE safari shinies, including a 5% parasect. this was my first proper full day of safari hunting, so I’m VERY excited for the rest of the week!!!

100% understandable, gotta take care of yourself. hope you get really lucky and still get hella shinies 🦒🦌

grim 👻✨ @grimdarksparkles.standingintheodds.com · 18/07/2026

got my setup mostly done after work, and did 1000 encounters in just under an hour before passing out. just two more shifts before I can really lock in 👀

grim 👻✨ @grimdarksparkles.standingintheodds.com · 17/07/2026

I might be a little late to safari week this year bc my work vacation doesn’t start for another 2 days, but I’m gonna get my setup ready today hopefully. this is gonna be my first year hunting with 4x frlg, so I’m really hyped!!! it’s been so fun seeing how many shinies people have already gotten <3

grim 👻✨ @grimdarksparkles.standingintheodds.com · 11/07/2026

also, I forgot to hit record before the hunting session… luckily, @sharlit.standingintheodds.com was in the call and recording, so I can use her audio when I finally get around to making the video. it’s definitely gonna be a long one lol

grim 👻✨ @grimdarksparkles.standingintheodds.com · 11/07/2026

my route 14 hunt is still going strong!!! I just got my second oddish, which means I am 100% gonna keep going until I have both the oddish and bellsprout lines complete >:3

I have a very-nearly-finished gen 3 living dex, all in normal pokeballs, all with my own OT. for more than a year now, the only line left is totodile, because I haven’t felt like doing a *third* playthrough of emerald where I complete the hoenn dex

I haven’t shiny hunted in over a week because I’ve been overwhelmingly disgustingly sick 🤒🤒🤒 gonna try to get back to route 14 tomorrow, and hopefully get that video up before safari week. wish me luck 🥀🍃✨

grim 👻✨ @grimdarksparkles.standingintheodds.com · 06/06/2026

are you mixing with yourself or other people? bc if you can mix records whenever you want, then you can just mix again every time you wanna rematch. worked for me when I was using secret bases for level grinding on dead battery games.

grim 👻✨ @grimdarksparkles.standingintheodds.com · 06/06/2026

got to half odds for phase 7 this morning :3 phase 6 was an oddish, so there’s a non-zero chance I’m gonna keep this hunt going til I get line completes for bellsprout AND oddish 🥀🍃

I got ANOTHER 5% weepinbell somehow? and I still don’t have the 35% bellsprout or oddish yet. route 14 is being very kind to me 🌷✨

I admire your optimism. I already kinda assumed it would’ve happened already if it was gonna happen at all </3 I’d welcome it tho, I got back into it for a few days last week and I was shocked at all the pop-in 😭😭😭

this is so crazy to me, all of my early hunts were in vc with a bunch of us who met in dallas’s stream chat. getting a shiny on call with people is peak. wishing you many vc shinies <3

someone on /r/pokemon was like “how do I encounter the moltres in asado desert? I’ve been running at it but it won’t battle me.” turns out SV was their first game, and commenters had to explain the concept of… walking up to a pokemon and pressing A to encounter it. I’ve never felt older.

I've been a lot of back and forth but I will be unemployed Monday. It's a choice that I had to make with a lot of stress and my mental health dipping. So if anyone does have any pointers on where I can go it'd be much appreciated. Related here is my Ko-fi- ko-fi.com/waywardrosal...

here’s my current setup, ft. a cheap amazon camera stand that I had to break with pliers to get a sharp enough angle. the phone ends up being right in front of my mouth/chin, which is fine except that I gotta make sure I’m not breathing directly on the mic 😭

sometimes I get on here and scroll the odds standers feed and forget to scroll my following. and I end up missing hella posts from some of my coolest gayest mutuals. can we start discourse where you only count as a gay shiny hunter if you’re an odds stander so more people join? thanks.

you can do arbitrary code execution to catch whatever pokemon you want. it’s not as scary as it sounds youtu.be/v_JfJ0WS07U
