On Saturday September 12th, starting at 12:00 a.m. Eastern, and lasting 24 hours, as a community, we will try to find shiny Spoink in every single game possible! The sub goal of the event is to find shiny Spoink with every mark possible!

Graphic with yellow text with a hot pink outline that says "Spoink-a-thon" with an emote of shiny Spoink above, black text that ssays "Saturday, September 12th" and "Find shiny Spoink in every game in under 24 hours in honor of Yarnity's birthday" and a little note in the corner that says "Yarnie's birthday is actually 9/16 just go with it :)"

Fun Fact: GenAI is still harmful to the environment and economy and is still theft of somebody’s work even if it’s code. Just because it’s not a jpeg, doesn’t mean it isn’t still plagued with genAI’s usual poisonous baggage.

It is ethically and morally reprehensible to use Generative AI instead of commissioning an Artist. If you're an artist looking to make something involving code, *please* don't turn to ChatGPT to generate or debug your code. Put it on GitHub, ask a dev, etc.

FexCollects @fexcollects.standingintheodds.com · 11/07/2026

Not all art is drawn! Code and text copy is art too. GenAI for any purpose is stealing from creators who didn’t consent to their work in the training set I completely reject the idea that code generation is somehow different If you use an LLM for any part of something you built then you’ve used AI

All set up for safari week! Unfortunately I’m 6 (working) gen 3 games short of a full wall. Might try to rush through some repairs just to be able to fill out the blanks but who knows

I’ve never been a Hoenn safari zone gamer but I think I’m adding RSE to the setup this year. Is White Flute+Illuminated still the best strat? Also, anyone know how well it stays in sync with FRLG Safari if I’m controller mod hunting?
