"the type of weather you can smell", my friend said from across the table. one of my favorite spots in Bucharest. really liked the mood of a stormy april evening combined with a cozy, colorful interior. #procreate #ipadprocreate #digitalpleinair

aaa thank you! she does look more like Tiffany Aching actually, i think it might be the clothing. i tried moving away from the original designs in terms of wardrobe for the witches but apparently i ended up reusing some ideas. 😅

thank you so much, yes she's Granny Weatherwax! and yeeessss Blender is so neat and offers so many features! i know greasepencil is mostly useless outside of Blender itself but it's so much fun to play around with iiiit. looking forward to seeing what you make in Blender when you decide to switch!

✦ ioana ✦ @grimbanana.com · 16/04/2025

thank you! 😊 no, i used Blender’s texture painting features and grease pencil here and there. i’d like to incorporate Substance Painter or smth similar at some point though…

yeah, i know, but i wanted to go a little crazy with the char design and gave her three whole teeth instead 🤪 i'm working on a lineup of characters from equal rites for a char design class and wanted to give myself some freedom in interpreting the characters' features

the cool part about being an artist is that the process of making art in any form is truly smthng beneficial for mental health. would love to see more ppl engaging w/ crafts&art in a handson way instead of playing around w/ genAI. i really think they'd get more bang for their buck. #starterpacknoai

i need someone from Obsidian to confirm that i'm not crazy: Lembur is heavily inspired by Romanian, right? and the Pargrunen all have Romanian sounding names like Doru, Cosmina, etc. i can't find it written down ANYWHERE 😤 #avowed

feels like the world is on fire and the challenges have not been lacking in my own personal life either in the past few weeks. i don't know what to do other than persist though. make art, make games, find community and hope for the best. 🥹

because it’s hard to tell who’s “a true believer”, a disgruntled & desperate voter or a damn plant/bot. people are scared and frustrated and they’re playing right into Russia’s hands. it’s overwhelming & heartbreaking seeing my country devolve into chaos and feel powerless to stop any of it. (3/3)

of their misfortune and humiliation. Putin & his cronies had all the help they needed in this regard. but so many people are cheering the rise of fascism & spouting so much homophobia, antisemitism & russian conspiracy theories online nowadays & there is no way to quell it or reason with them (2/3)

local corruption & incompetence also played a role for sure, rendering a majority of the population economically & socially vulnerable primed them for the what that the far right promises — a return to tradition and prosperity, pointing fingers at “the globalists” & minorities as the cause (1/3)

in case anyone’s wondering, my country’s election has turned into a clusterf*ck of russian and neofascist interests. it was naive of me to hope that our EU status and benefits as well as historic fear of the USSR would guard us against the danger. we’re so cooked it’s not even funny.

Make art that you think is fuckin sick as hell. Make the shit you never thought you could that you always wanted to see. Beat your insecurity to death and fight to become your own favorite artist.
