Like many, disillusioned with a certain other platform! I probably talk far too much politics, but will be happy to engage in something a little lighter. Bewildered by people who don't pay attention, and think they've made a brilliant point! #FBPE

I've been listening to @lbc.co.uk since @mrjamesob.bsky.social came on air. Now listening to @shelaghfogarty.bsky.social I've heard Farage call Andy Burnham a liar, more often than I've heard Andy Burnham's speech. Tells you all you need to know about our media & the publicity Farage/Reform gets!

Dear Media, why do you care so much what Farage says? His party is declining in the polls, he has eight MPS, and has disgraced himself on many occasions!

An excellent point by @natashadevon.bsky.social @lbc.co.uk The live streaming of the execution will normalise & desensitize people to violence in general? This will serve for both the punishment & the original perpetration of the crime! In fact for all violence!

When Bad Enoch starts speaking; those clapping in the auditorium will be doing so because they will be further enriched, those clapping (metaphorically) at home will be the people enriching them!

I feel that the Tories are now in that zone where they can promise anything. Scrapping inheritance tax, which will immediately cost us between £7 & £8 Bn pa; or sticking an unspecified iron Dome over us? They may as well promise us all a unicorn. But I welcome it if it keeps Fagash out!

When (Tory) ministers talk about making 'the hard decisions' with regard to cutting welfare; remember it's not going to be hard for them, it's going to be hard on the most vulnerable members of society!

I am perplexed by presenters e.g. @matthewwrightsimon.bsky.social just now on @lbc.co.uk who keep saying Kemi Badenoch is 'having a good run'? To me, the woman who proclaims she 'never makes gaffes', is still making them!

I have heard it reported that following Burnham's speech 'not every Labour member is happy'. This is a ridiculous statement; apart from it being obvious, reflect for a moment on what it would mean if all members were happy?

Imagine Labour had taken 72 million pounds, from two donors, not living in the UK. & that one of their only policies was bolstering the very industry that those two people are in. I'm sure the Daily Mail, Express, Sun, Telegraph, GB news, BBC and ITV would be very diplomatic about it?!

@lewisgoodall.com @lbc.co.uk on donations, constantly saying to guests 'you'd take it wouldn't you? You'd take it?!' But they (left wing parties) wouldn't get very large donations! We have to deal with what's happening and ask why!?

@natashadevon.bsky.social discussing whether not capping donations was a bad move. Callers ringing up suggesting billionaires backing Reform is OK, because 'the people' want Reform. What do they think 'the people' will get in return? Why do they think billionaires are suddenly philanthropic?

Chris Mason (BBC) reports on his “interview” with Nigel Farage. It’s not an interview. It’s an idiotic, moany rant from Farage about how he’s being picked on cos he reckons he’s a threat to the establishment. And Mason just folds like a wet cardboard box in the face of this delusional bollox.
Farage pictured with his innocent face on… (it’s hideous - my opinion)

Nigel Farage insists he's 'broken no rules'He added: "The point is, we live in a complainants' society. If you complain about me, automatically that triggers an investigation."
He said that political parties were "constantly writing to all the authorities", meaning Reform was "under investigation every day for virtually everything we do".
"There's a big picture here. The old two-party system that has dominated since the end of the First World War feels for the first time it faces an existential threat.
"There is a whole ecosystem with a century of development around this. And we come along from virtually nowhere and threaten the whole thing.”
