There is beauty in the effort and sometimes struggle it takes to make art. That’s what makes it cool and impressive, the human perspective. It isn’t psychologically or emotionally stimulating to look at an image a computer scraped together. Art made by nobody means nothing.

By the way when i say "experimental style" on my artfight profile, i mean this: >randomly pulls a new chibi cat style out of nowhere >likes it >continues to use the style for multiple pieces

Anyone else experience art featurecreep? Like you draw a character, that character needs a background, then there's bg characters, then they need their own integration into the scene and suddenly my image looks like a where's waldo page- In other news im making my first Artfight mass attack xD

You know what's totally ok: Unfollowing people There are so many reasons why people do. Sometimes because of disagreement, sometimes it's because you're not their cup of tea, sometimes it's because they're looking after their mental health. Sometimes. Sometimes... It's so freeeeeing not to care.

In case you, too, needed this today:

Op is novelconcepts: Hey, man, c'mere. Listen. Get in real close, this is important.
You're gonna make stuff again. You're gonna make stuff you're proud of. You're gonna make stuff you're excited to share. You're going to feel that overwhelming drive to create, not just the frantic / want to want to you're stuck in now. You're going to have awesome ideas, and you're going to make them into reality. You're going to create again.
You're still an artist. You're still a writer. You're still home to the same passion you had before. You'll find it again. It's not gone. It's just resting. Let it rest. You're going to make stuff again. I promise.

Zosan! #onepiece #roronoazoro #blacklegsanji #onepiecefanart [🎵 Worth dying for- Rise Against] + progress pictures and very old art in the replies! ✨️ I made this over the past few days while being sick. Slowly feeling better now! Very proud of the composition and details :3

Illustration of Zoro and Sanji walking towards the viewer through a field of flames. The flames originate at Sanji's feet. Zoro is shirtless and has his mouth open and is lifting Wado to grip it in his mouth. Sanji is holding a cigarette ip and away from his mouth, he's wearing a light blue half unbuttoned shirt and open necktie. The background is dark with a ship's railing.

Just to be clear, I don't really SEE duos like this as examples of a #queerplatonicrelationship, per se. A lot of them are probably much sooner meant to be reminiscent of gay couples. I'm just saying they happened to scratch an itch I didn't fully realize I had back then. Been thinking about that.

A comic starting with the caption: "Ever since I was a kid, I've always gravitated towards those typically same-sex, typically comic relief buddy duos always attached at the hip, in anything I read or watched."
The comic shows a character wearing childish pigtails, sitting and reading a book. Floating heads of pop culture duos are shown around her, with captions pointing to who they are: counter-clockwise, Pinky and the Brain, those two guys from Osamu Tezuka's stories, Lumière and Cogsworth, and those two guys from Waiting for Godot.
The next panel shows the same character putting the book down and thinking to herself. Captions continue: "But unlike a lot of people who liked them, I didn't exactly see them as gay couples. I could definitely understand shipping them, but them having side romances or whatever didn't ruin them for me. In my heart, they had a special bond anyway, and it didn't have to be romantic."
Another caption opens the third and final panel: "For years I didn't fully know how to express something like that... So in hindsight, I guess it's no surprise that after my now-partner told me about queerplatonic relationships and I did some research on 'em, it opened up a lot of mental doors." The character, now grown up and wearing a hoodie with the colors of the aroace flag, is seen looking something up on her computer with a mindblown expression.

The world gets bigger & smaller the moment a queer person comes out. The world of possibilities opens up. But most cultures close their doors & expell queer participation. They say being gay is our “whole personality” but really it’s that Queer Culture is the only culture that fully accepts us.

Thank you Skizz for saying it out loud. It's a difference if you assume someone won't have a problem with trans people and hearing them say "trans rights". Especially in these times. So thank you! 🩵🩷🤍

So after yesterdays statement, i came to realise that one of my messages in the podcast discord got used as "proof" against skizz. To say i am angry would be an understatement. I am an openly queer person & have been hoping skizz would be a bit more forthcoming on his stance. But not like this.
