Until yesterday, the only time I had heard the name Phoebe Bridgers was from a Winona Fighter song... www.youtube.com/watch?v=88E8...

I might be in the minority, but when interacting with AI agents, I'm not a fan of some of the commentary like "You were right!" or "Good idea!". Like, I KNOW, and I'm trying to get you to do the thing. Just rearrange your plinko boards to try and do it right next time! 😂

You can trace these habits all the way back to the company's roots...it should be assumed that Meta will not honor boundaries.

So, I went to add a few new features to MusicTrends.net, and that uncovered some optimizations needed, which triggered new feature ideas, etc., etc. Got some fun new enhancements coming up, hopefully this week!

🎵 MusicTrends.net has analyzed 500K+ listens! Now I want more listening histories to throw at it. 😄 If you've been tracking your music with Last.fm or ListenBrainz, see what MusicTrends finds in yours: musictrends.net

One of my recent projects has been building a music listening dashboard application based on Last.fm scrobbles and/or ListenBrainz listening history. While I built it for me, I think others might enjoy it as well, so I'm looking for some people to help test it out and provide some feedback.

As I work through my job search, sometimes I have to remind myself there's only so much I can control, regardless of the time and effort I put in, and that there are a lot of companies out that would ve lucky to have me and the right opportunity will emerge in due time.

What a finish for UConn! The Huskies have had a lot of key plays over the years, but that may have finally one-upped the Tate George shot!

18F, the federal government’s technology shop, was demolished by Musk’s team shortly after midnight. It was a cost-recoverable org, charging agencies for their expertise, using a consulting model. Its cost to government was negligible, its benefits huge. My team there once saved DoD $500 billion.

This is what I think of as a specific kind of ignorance that heavily affects young white guys who work in tech. It says “i don’t know about this, so I assume no one else does either.” It’s new to them, so it must be new to everybody!

People forget that Facebook was born because Zuck and co couldn't get women to talk to them, so found a way to get them to willingly post photos of themselves so they could have access. And then they ask "who doesn't he have a stronger moral stance?"

Turns out that "A Christmas Carol" was wrong... Finding out that people hate you when you die doesn't make rich people repent...it makes them buy a newspaper/TV station/social media platform to try and gaslight the world into thinking they are awesome.

Eventually, this trend of mothers being brought in to defend their sons is going to be spun by the NYT as the GOP increasing the representation of women in politics.

Well, pies are done for tomorrow...will post pictures then, as I'm now too lazy to get them together for a pic. I don't do much pie the rest of the year, but something about Thanksgiving makes them more special. (It's probably the nostalgia, but that's fine too!)
