🚨 Polish SIM cards were in some of the 30+ Russian drones that hit Poland in September 2025. If any lingering doubts remain about whether that attack on Poland by Russian drones was intentional or not, the answer should now be clear to even the most fact-resistant observer.

Howabout this for symbolism: the leftmost model's trousers are being held up by his shirt. Much like a Lada's exhaust pipe being held on with bits of fence wire (or all-round band if you are fancy like an Anglo-Saxon capitalist pig).

Globally the balance may be different; we like our cars in the UK. Cutting both agriculture and transport emissions is going to be necessary of course

greengrease.bsky.social @greengrease.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
In the UK context in which this policy of the lib dems applies, transport is approx 26% of emissions, agriculture about 10% Not all transport is fossil fueled, and not all agriculture is meat-related, but bigger savings can clearly be had from the transport sector. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenho...

Maybe this is a turf war/shakedown affecting the "People's VPK"; the more informal parts of the Russian defence industrial base? Failing to pay your piso to the local FSB goons gets you arrested. Or at risk of "suicide" like that Murz character... warontherocks.com/the-strange-...

As ever our worst aspects (as countries) are flashy, and noticeable to others. But they shouldn't be allowed to define us and where we allow extreme positions to dominate the discourse we allow that to happen. I'll do what I can where I can to prevent that. So should we all. Much love from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The above accurately represents my opinion. If the council wanted to they could build the quality on-road alternative right now, cheaply. No need to wait for the tram. This would defuse a lot of the opposition, mine included. (I think Dean Bridge is a better route but if the trams don't fit...)

Counterexamples: XR, Insulate Britain, Just Stop Oil, PA pre-proscription. These organisations were not proscribed (still aren't) and all were subject to mass arrests. Where there is a will, there's a way. Proscription perhaps gives the police a simple pretext to use, if they want to.

greengrease.bsky.social @greengrease.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
Just to be clear, Police Scotland did very little (just like Kent Police) when faced with mobs outside the Falkirk asylum hotel, so they are far from a paragon. If they want to, they will lift you. If not, they won't.
000
greengrease.bsky.social @greengrease.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
It's still a policing choice and depends on the force. For instance Police Scotland will usually arrest some activists after (not during) each Defend our Juries protest, seemingly for the look of the thing, but do not engage in the sort of mass arrests that the Met so enjoys.
210
greengrease.bsky.social @greengrease.bsky.social · 07/09/2026
Insulate Britain wasn't proscribed when mass-arrested in Dover and other places during the 2021 campaign. Nor were the Sarah Everard vigil holders. The cops can find reasons to arrest if they want to. The policing of recent fash activities is therefore a choice.

Maybe papering over the financial cracks by running down the loan book by selling off the performing debt first? A la Northern Rock. But in that case the UK government could afford to nationalise the remainder. Even so who is buying even "good" Russian domestic debt?

Saddam and Niyazov/Turkmenbashi also had divine and atavistic elements to their personality cults. I guess the smart dictator continually assesses what "works" on their populations and changes how they present themselves accordingly.
