Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Aside from the discomfort of having to sit with the intensity of my vocal fry, and forgiving myself for some sections near the end where I was getting fatigued and sound like I had 3 muscle relaxers for lunch, I am not even embarrassed. All credit for coherence (my favorite delusion!) goes to Matt. 000
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 25/09/2026"A delightful, hilarious, and sometimes bleak set of stories about trying really hard and failing, hoping for some great moment of transcendence or clarity and never getting it, [and] attempting to find meaning in everything and realizing that everything might actually mean nothing at all." 100
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Huge thanks to Matt Sawyer of City Lights Bookstore (NC) for bringing, among other gifts, a stellar understanding of my book to a fun, insightful discussion. One great pleasure of publishing a book is hearing other people summarize it way better than you can. www.storymadeproject.com/booksonthebe...storymadeproject.comBOOKS ON THE BED | Story Made© 2023 by Story Made. Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 01/08/2026Here's one way to help Springfield families affected by the ending of TPS--donations for food boxes. Here's hoping paths to permanent residence / citizenship are what replaces TPS instead of more deeply needless brutality. Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 27/06/2026I saw a graph today that showed the results of “machine learning” in ranking the relative “warmth” of a dead author’s salutation across thousands of her letters. It’s a new day in the humanities, with scholars eager to demonstrate how machines can make their work just as irrelevant in far less time 111
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 18/06/2026We are now well into the long terrible months for which there are no seasonally themed giant Reese’s. It’s time to invent a summer shape! Flip-flop? Sunglasses? I would settle for repurposing the egg as “indeterminate scat” if it meant continued access to the correct proportion of PB : chocolate 040
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 19/05/2026The AU claims they were just “fact-checking.” Whatever really happened, the final result was copied out of Claude and pasted back into the ms. 010
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 19/05/2026It was truly bizarre. The author deleted whole sections of their own paragraphs and then replaced them with the same information—just written slightly differently. Those were the paras w/ Claude response tags. 010
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 19/05/2026Just had an author-reviewed copyedit sent back with huge swathes of new text added in a "claude-response" paragraph style. It's . . . exactly what I thought it was. I am so entertained that that shit showed up as a paragraph style. 110
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 17/05/2026I was just in Lincoln for a reading/visit (I used to live there). I can't eat either anymore bc of gluten, but Casey's rotating pepperoni pizza slices & Runza's runzas are the things I miss most about Nebraska other than my book club. I just preordered your book and am looking forward to reading it! 120
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 14/05/2026That’s funny. One of my favorite things is audiobook narration mistakes, esp. when a narrator rereads a line but the engineer forgets to cut out the initial flub. I once heard a guy do a kind of vocal exercise in the middle of a line to reset himself. That was in a Dickens novel, so understandable. 100
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 08/05/2026Proud to have been “the first complaint.” I ordered a pack of the little Baphomets on Etsy and will keep them in my purse. P.S. I’m a big fan of Jesus, just a bigger fan of religious nondiscrimination. 010
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 08/05/2026I saw one on the scale at my doctor’s office and had a real awkward conversation with the front desk about it probably not being appropriate to display religious iconography on medical equipment at a non-privately-run clinic. Not to mention Jesus tipped the scale! 110
Great Farts of Literature @greatfartsoflit.bsky.social · 08/05/2026I knew I couldn’t be the only one looking for a 2-inch Baphomet figurine to offer to all the public institutions currently displaying Jesus figurines (both local post offices, for instance). 120
