On that note, why are *so* many people so comfortable farming out all cognitive tasks? We are told repeatedly as we age to stay engaged, do puzzles, be creative, etc. to stave off declines in memory and reasoning. I'm just seeing a shitload of people I'd think on board with that saying fuck it.

This is the part I just do not understand watching all these commercials for people asking supposed AI agents to do stuff for them. I can barely hammer out a weekly dinner list with my husband without tearing my hair out (and I LOVE cooking) because there is no chance it would ever understand.

Friends, I feel *weary*. T's granny died in the night and my mom's best friend will be going any time now. My inclination is to build a pillow fort and hide. BUT, all these people we have lost and are losing lived big all the way to the end so I'm going to have margaritas and fajitas and twirl.

Progress with Nyx! She can now tolerate my moving a little and making noise while they eat dinner. And during the post dinner petting fest, she stayed just a few feet away purring. I still can’t stand up very close to her, but better than last week! #kittens I wish I could keep them all.

The news is awful, so here’s something good. This is me petting Athena, a TNR 5 month old who has been living on and around my porch with her siblings. She’s the 2nd of 4 to give into the head scritchens. I want to socialize all enough to be adopted.This is a months work and far to go. But happy.

This week I have trapped 4 feral 4 month old kittens and gotten them fixed and trapped mama cat who I suspect is pregnant again and will take her in tomorrow. This is after rescuing two and getting their mom spayed a couple of months ago. And it just feels never ending. 😕
