Oh yeaaaah! I forgot about that haha. At least people recognize how good it looks now in retrospect. Still such a beautiful game, even before the remaster.

I guess that makes sense, especially as everything was "growing up", graphics included, to look more mature, and you were fresh out of your teens. I think from my perspective, which is crazy to think that I wasn't even a teen yet, I appreciated the art and never saw it as childish, just stylized.

I remember seeing the graphics for Windwaker in an EGM or something for the first time and absolutely losing my mind about how beautiful it was, only to later find out a lot of people were livid. Not gonna lie, my lil 10/11yo self felt so bad for them 😂 "You don't like art? Unfortunate."

Y'all, Ocarina of Time looks BEAUTIFUL! I love all the texture and detail mixed with the art direction. I never had an N64 so this and Majora's Mask are my biggest Zelda blindspots. Thankfully, that will change this November, and I cannot wait 🥹
